Snow clearance made easy with the unique ZAUGG snow plough technology One of the core areas of ZAUGG’s business is the development, design and manufacture of high quality, technically advanced snow ploughs for snow clearance on all roads and driveways as well as at airports. The ploughs can be easily attached to single-axle vehicles, all types of tractor, municipal and all-wheel-drive vehicles from a wide range of manufacturers, skidsteer loaders and forklift trucks, vans, Unimogs, trucks, wheel loaders and airport snow-clearance vehicles. They are available in no less than 16 models, each with a range of different plough widths. The normal blade angle is 35°/32°, although most models are available with a 45° angle or even 55° on certain models.

In terms of performance and operation, they are designed to cope with the demands of snow clearance today. Snow removal is remarkably easy, with great savings in fuel. The driver enjoys an exceptionally good overview thanks to the optimum plough height. And the ZAUGG trip edge system (obstruction impact protection system) enables clearance speeds of up to 60 km/h without detriment to safety.

ZAUGG snow plough G3 This small ZAUGG snow plough was mainly designed for the cost-effective clearing of pavements, factory grounds and narrow streets. It can be mounted on small tractors with engine outputs of up to around 30 kW, small municipal service vehicles or single-axle machines. Technical Data G3

ZAUGG snow plough G6 The ZAUGG snow plough G6 is the smallest snow plough equipped with the patented ZAUGG trip edge system. It is particularly notable for its simple and robust construction and is especially suited for use on narrow-gauge tractors with engine outputs of up to around 40 kW, municipal service vehicles, skid-steer loaders, 4-wheel-drive vehicles and forklift trucks. Thanks to the plastic glide surface and the split plough blade this snow plough can be used with minimal wear and tear to the carrier vehicle. G21 ZAUGG snow plough G21 The new ZAUGG snow plough G21 has been built for snow clearance on roads with varying road surface characteristics and transitions. The ZAUGG trip edge system guarantees safe driving over obstacles, even at high speed. As usual, the G21 has a shock-absorbing plough blade that is split both vertically and horizontally and is thus designed for high performance, ease of operation and safety. It allows an above-average clearance speed and guarantees maximum clearance performance. It can be fitted to all common and suitable carrier vehicles. G33 ZAUGG snow plough G33 The G33 snow plough is very popular with our customers as a general-purpose snow clearing tool, whether in the lowlands or in extreme conditions in the mountains. Thanks to its optimum road surface adaptation, high clearance capacity and good snow flow, the G33 guarantees an outstanding snow clearing performance. The robust steel snow plough is primarily used on tractors with engine outputs from 60 kW, Unimogs, trucks and wheel loaders with a weight of up to around 9 tonnes. ZAUGG snow plough G44 The G44 snow plough was primarily developed to tackle the heavy snowfalls encountered in mountainous regions. With its imposing height of 130 cm it can cope with huge volumes of snow. However, it is not just a mountain snow plough, but can also be mounted on wheel loaders weighing 8.5 tonnes or more. G40K ZAUGG snow plough G40K The G40K was specially developed for use in densely populated regions. With its low overall height and tightly curving (closed) plastic blade shape, which guarantees optimum snow flow, the G40K is ideally suited for use in urban areas. Equipping the snow plough with the lateral swivel unit makes child›s play of snow clearing on tight roundabouts and in narrow passages. These special accessories enable the snow plough to be positioned in the centre of the vehicle, minimising the passage width required. The G50K benefits from the many years of experience gained with all our other snow ploughs. When developing the G50K, we set out to create a snow plough that would trigger a minor revolution rather than simply adding another product to the snow clearance range. Thanks to the plastic plate and the unconventional closed shape, optimum snow flow can be ensured and the snow is thrown exactly where you want it. It is mainly used for snow clearance on motorways, trunk roads and B-roads.

Vario 4

ZAUGG snow plough Vario 4 The Vario 4 is mainly used on motorways and at airports, where the need is for the maximum possible clearance with the flexibility to operate at different speeds. This unilateral plough model can be opened and closed in the upper section of the plough blade according to the clearance task and the snow characteristics. This adjustment takes place either mechanically or hydraulically and can be carried out conveniently from the driver’s cab. This technology allows the operator to direct the snow accurately irrespective of the snow height and the clearance speed. The ZAUGG airport snow plough SP3000 is characterised by its extremely high width, remarkably simple design and particularly low weight. Its cross-section with single-arm suspension system for the Number of elements is designed so as to adapt constantly and accurately to the road surface. It also has a snow dust deflector that even works at high clearance speeds. The patented ZAUGG trip edge system guarantees safe passage over obstacles at clearance speeds of up to 60 km/h. With its low operating weight of less than 2,000 kg, the SP3000 can be used without restriction for optimum snow clearance on runways. SnowShark Adjustable wedge-shaped plough KPR-300 Wedge-shaped plough for the rapid and simple clearance of snow around the runway and taxiway boundary lighting at airports and airfields. Adjustable and with a special plough/brush/ blower technology for front or rear attachment to the three point power-lifts of tractors or to the front lifting gear of wheel loaders. Three-point attachment unit

The lateral swivel unit offers infinite adjustment of the blade angle to the left and right up to a maximum of 55°. The advantage of lateral movement is that it guarantees the narrowest possible passage widths as well as allowing alignment of the plough to the centre of the vehicle, which enables access to narrow passages such as bus and tram stops.

The ZAUGG three-point attachment unit for tractors with Cat. I & II front hydraulics is adjustable, enabling the snow plough to be mounted very close to the tractor and considerably reducing the strain on the front axle.

Compact snow plough controller with pressure control function The ZAUGG snow plough controllers make the work much easier and enable more efficient and cost-effective use of the ZAUGG snow ploughs by providing a better overview. With their compactness and multifunctionality the devices are not just eye-catchers. The pressure decrease function for the snow plough prolongs the lifetime of the wearing parts and ensures better steering and lateral guidance. Thanks to the pressure increase function, even heavily compacted snow and ice can be loosened and the vehicle›s front axle traction increased. The ZRS 102/112/202 controllers are available on request with a separately mounted text display.

ZAUGG snow plough controllers ZAG 107 This controller is designed for versatility and is available for 12 or 24 V operation. It can be fitted to any kind of vehicle. The housing is made of high-quality plastic, compact and optimally designed for one-handed operation. A wide range of control operations can be undertaken with its joystick and keys. For example, the device includes four double-action functions, one of which incorporates a floating position and relief of the swivel function. In addition, there is a central main switch and a switch for the hydraulic function “pressure release”. Two further keys can be activated as impulse keys or step keys. These are used for various switching functions such as salt spreader, light switching, rotating beacon, tilting the loading platform, etc. This innovative technology, together with ZAUGG’s know-how in this field promises to make the work much easier and also offers greater clarity for more efficient working.

ZRS 102 The ZRS-102 controller is equipped with two function levels for maximum functionality. The blade pressure regulation with the pressure increase and pressure decrease functions is infinitely adjustable via a scale value. The control function can be switched to the floating position function by means of a key function. ZRS 202 The ZRS 202’s dual joystick operation ensures maximum operating safety when using the front and side snow ploughs simultaneously. The blade pressure regulation with the pressure increase and pressure decrease functions is infinitely adjustable via a scale value. The control function can be switched to the floating position function by means of a key function. Snow blowers from ZAUGG offer the right solution, adapted to the requirements, for every carrying vehicle. Thanks to the ZAUGG modular system, the basic configurations can be equipped with individual driving and operating equipment. The snow blower model to be used depends on the carrying vehicle. The ZAUGG snow blower is a combined/dual stage construction with cutter reels and an impeller. The two components are perfectly matched to each other via gearboxes and transmissions to enable effective and economical working. Cutter

Ejection chute

The cutters and the impeller are arranged in such a way that work can proceed at a well-matched driving speed. Due to this matching an ideal amount of compacted snow is fed to the impeller and takes up less space when loaded onto the truck.

The ejection chute can be selected individually. Depending on the snow blower model it is equipped with 1 to 4 flaps in part of stainless steel. The multi-flap chutes allow especially accurate loading or depositing of the snow. The ejection chute is located to the left or right in relation to the driver’s cab, depending on requirements. The chute is easy to tilt and can be cleaned immediately in the event of a blockage. A telescopic chute is also available as an alternative for the large models.

The impeller is arranged in proportion to the working width respectively the cutter. The customer can also set the ejection width on the basis of his needs and the vehicle conditions.

By means of different helical and planetary gears it is possible to match the speed of the impeller to that of the PTO. Using these gears the height difference to the power take-off (PTO) on the carrying vehicle can be compensated and the direction of rotation can also be adapted. In addition they allow the snow blower to be attached as closely as possible to the vehicle. All ZAUGG snow blowers can also be driven hydraulically.

Depending on the snow blower model the cutters are equipped with shear bolts or automatic cut-out clutches. The method of protection of the impeller depends on the carrying vehicle.

Output In order to calculate the clearing capacity of the snow blower, all technical data for the carrying vehicle and the snow blower must be taken into account.

Further options The following additional items of equipment, if not included in the basic equipment, are either necessary or possible, depending on the type of ZAUGG snow blower: Cutter lateral bearing, lateral inclination (mechanical or hydraulic), hydraulic top link, electrical controller/control devices, additional electrical valve blocks, ejection chute rotation (electrical or hydraulic), ejection chute inclination adjuster (electrical or hydraulic), ejection chute extension (including hydraulic hoses), hydraulic tilting of the ejection chute, direct ejection (revolving impeller housing), castors (in place of skids), wearing rings (on rim of cutter), front safety device. ZAUGG Snow Blower SF 40 The ideal clearing device for single-axle vehicles and small tractors. The SF 40 is characterised by low weight and high manoeuvrability. The impeller is protected.

ZAUGG Snow Blower SF 55 The SF 55 is ideally suited for use with small tractors or small implement carriers. It can be driven directly or via an inlet gear from the PTO as well as hydrostatically. ZAUGG Snow Blower SF 65E The SF 65E is conceived for a wide range of different carrying vehicles. It is equipped with lateral bearings for the cutters. Protection against overload is provided by shear bolts or cut-out clutches (option) in the cutters. PTO or hydrostatic drive is possible.

ZAUGG Snow Blower SF 72E The SF 72E is the simpler version of the type SF 72 with lateral bearings for the cutters. The cutters are protected by shear bolts and the unit is driven by PTO or hydrostatically. The SF72E is extendable. It can be equipped with various options (also as retrofits).

Snow Blower SF 72-70 KS The new ZAUGG snow blower SF 72-70 KS offers extended safety, additional comfort and an extremely favourable weight in view of its highly robust and sturdy construction. The hinged scraper blade provides maximum protection of the cutter and the carrier vehicle when traversing obstacles. The cutter reels are optionally safeguarded by means of shear pins and cut-out clutches.

Telescopic ejection chutes for ZAUGG snow blowers Apart from the optionally available ejection chute extensions, which are mainly used for loading snow, suitable telescopic ejection chutes with two flaps are now available upon request instead of the standard ejection chutes.

Snow Blower SF 90 The SF 90 has the same features and characteristics as the robust SF 72. Protection against overload is provided by automatic cut-out clutches in the cutters. The SF 90-100 HT is particularly light due to the materials used in its construction. Protection against overload is provided by cut-out clutches in the cutters and a shear bolt coupling in the cardan shaft. Thanks to the revolving impeller housing the snow can be directly ejected sideways. The centre of gravity and the weight have been dimensioned in such a way that the attachment guidelines and thus the axle load of the carrying vehicles can be complied with. The ejection chute tilt has been optimised to the extent that the front overhang can be maintained starting from the centre of the vehicle steering wheel. Owing to the standard hinged scraper blade, hindrances such as protruding manhole covers can be driven over without major problems.

ZAUGG Rolba: the self-propelled Snow Blowers The Rolba model range, which has been developed further on the basis of soundly based and extensive experience, is of an outstanding quality and offers snow clearing capacities of up to 8000 t/h. MONOBLOC 230 The ZAUGG Monobloc snow blower 230 is autonomous, compact and meets the current Euro stage V exhaust emission standards. The machine can optionally be equipped with a radio remote control or fixed connecting cable and is operated conveniently with the included joystick and display. Wheel loaders that meet the minimum static tipping load requirement are employed as carrier vehicles. Therefore, they can also be used during the winter break. The articulated steering of the wheel loader ensures great mobility, enabling use even in cramped conditions, e.g. in narrow, deep cuttings.
