Everyone on Snow (EOS) is a unique collaboration between municipalities, primary schools, high schools, ski resorts and the Swedish Ski Association. Together with these stakeholders, events are organized where a full day of snow sports is provided to students from the 4th grade. At each event participants are provided transport to the resort, equipment, lift passes, a full day programme with lessons and trained instructors. To make the day extra special, high school students are invited to run the programmes in what is called the “Leaders” programme. To date, over 25’000 children every year get to experience Everyone on Snow events. In 2019/2020 the programme has evolved and is now providing ski equipment to after school centers. Through this action and additional 1’000 kids are now able to ski after school every day. Since the beginning in 2008 over 175’000 children and more than 10’000 high school students have participated.

For teachers EOS provides “Snöhandboken” (The Snow Manual) which is used to prepare the children for EOS. For high school students, that train as leaders on snow, EOS has created the “Ledarhandboken”. A comprehensive guide that contains most of what is required to be a good leader on snow. In addition, EOS conducts annual evaluations with the vast majority of municipalities, as well as primary school teachers. Finally, all high school students must have their participation evaluated (both practical and theoretical) as part of their high school education.

COMMERCIAL VIABILITY
$
EOS sustains itself through the support of its partners. As well as providing financial and material support, the partners use their communication platforms to promote EOS. For the resorts who participate, the children have become future visitors. All in all these symbiotic relationships have taken time to develop but have benefited all who are involved.
SUCCESS MEASURES
10/10 EOS has surpassed all its goals. In 2008 the project began with 1’200 participants in one season. Now, in 2022 the programme has grown to host 25’000 children in per season. What is more the programme sees no signs of slowing down. This was none more evident than in Stockholm where the 2022 edition of EOS saw all 6’200 spots in Stockholm fully booked within minutes of applications opening.
