Interspace is a highly creative team of designers, artists, builders, and visionary people who create Interior Spaces for our valued clients. This brochure represents a snapshot of our diverse design experience. Our philosophy, however, is best described through the words of others: “Recognizing the need is the primary condition for design.” - Charles Eames

Understanding our clients’ needs is the basis for all our work. This is where we begin and end every project. Does our design address your needs? Your answer to this question must always be, “Yes!” “Design is how it works.” - Steve Jobs

Our designs prioritize functionality of a space and the components within it. Beauty of a space does not imply functionality, and utility does not imply aesthetics; Interspace exists to create designs that work for our clients. “Design must reflect the practical and aesthetic in business but above all… good design must primarily serve people.” - Thomas J. Watson

We strive to find a balance between budgets and beautiful design. Our designs are for spaces where people work and live, so they must be functional, practical, and inspirational. Above all else, we are here to serve you. 1

The waiting area rear wall was designed with lighted, inset display boxes for Neonlite’s awards and honors. A metal grid ceiling feature helps to separate this space from the general reception area.

A unique angular backdrop with concealed lighting tracks provides a visually stimulating source of ambient light for the reception counter. 15

The main design concept is all about wide, open spaces, stainless steel accents, and clean geometric lines. A special “glass fountain” was custom built for the main meeting area in order to comply with the client’s feng shui requirement. 16

The reception area was designed to be practical and understated, while featuring modern elements such as a lightly glowing reception counter and an illuminated glass company logo feature on the wall. Client logos were integrated into the display area behind the reception counter, highlighting JAS’s dedication to customer service.

A practical meeting area framed by the building’s glass curtain wall provides a private environment for JAS to communicate with its important clientele. A lowered false ceiling provides lighting for the conference table and mirrors its form, focusing attention on the center of the room. 21

A custom-built, large, marble conference table dominates the space, precisely sized to match the available dimensions and the client’s requested number of seats. 27

Physical

The main design element of the reception area, a curved metallic wall, is actually an important feng shui feature. Interspace incorporated this feature as an integral part of the concept for the office design. 28

Physical’s office includes numerous training and instruction areas, including a facial treatment training room with water basin for sanitary reasons.

spaces for Consinee’s four seasons of fabric colors and styles.

32

A large feature wall dominates the entrance area providing space for exhibiting seasonal/hot items. The key design element of this feature wall is a matrix of holes for inserting rolls of selected fabrics as a unique display solution.

This curved low cabinet serves a dual purpose as a storage area for fabric sample booklets (on the inner side) and a rack for hanging larger samples (on the outer side). A standing computer booth serves as a price check and information retrieval point for scanning product ID codes. 33

Consinee

Copious sitting/discussion areas provide convenient space for casual conversations about product samples between customers and salespeople. When a more private discussion is needed, large, enclosed meeting rooms have been integrated into the center of the space for easy access and a quiet environment.

34

The design concept for this space is colorful (like Consinee’s many fabric colors), modern, relaxed, and flexible, taking advantage of natural light for comparing fabric colors. 35
