It is ideal for you to familiarise yourself with the interview procedure and application process of the setting, to support you in moving into employment after your traineeship.

Functional skills English: • Read and understand different types of text in detail • Identify the main points and how they are presented in a variety of different types of texts • Utilise information contained in different types of texts • Use language, format and structure suitable for purpose and audience • Write clearly and coherently, including an appropriate level of detail

Using the template on the next page, prepare some notes on what information you think you will need. Write one simple paragraph (three of four sentences) for the ‘further information’ section. Use the guide below.
