Introduction - Policies and Procedures
This activity will take place whilst on placement in your setting. It is ideal for you to familiarise yourself with the policies and procedures of the setting, to support you in understanding the importance of completing tasks in a certain manner.
In this task, you will be covering the following areas: Health and Social Care • Basic understanding of the settings particular policies and procedures.
Your Activities will include:
• Basic understanding of legislative requirements. Training skills that you may need to undertake.
• Reviewing the policies/procedures in Health and Social Care to identify the facts and opinions.
Functional Skills
• Highlight the procedures that you will need training for. • Once you have completed the task, discuss these with your workplace mentor.
• Read and understand different types of text in detail • Identify the main points and how they are presented in a variety of different types of texts • Use language, format and structure suitable for purpose and audience
Learning
• Write clearly and coherently, including an appropriate level of detail 2
• Ensure written work includes generally accurate punctuation and spelling and meaning is clear in more than one type of text.
