sings His praise

Creation Sings His There are places on Earth that are so beautiful and unique, you can’t help but find reasons around every corner to praise and worship God. That is what Africa was to me. The distinctive land, kind and loving people, fascinating wildlife, large variety of birds—all these things turned my heart toward the Father in complete awe and gratefulness. The word Serengeti means, “open land.” And that’s how it felt to be there—as if there was nothing to hinder me from experiencing God’s presence, power, and creativity. It was so quiet and peaceful, yet so filled with His glorious praise, I could not help but fall more deeply in love with the Savior. Of course, Africa also has its difficulties and dangers. Kenya and Tanzania, where I visited, are home to five of the most dangerous animals in the world: the Cape buffalo, hippopotamus,

mankind is to focus on the reasons—even in the worst storms of life—to worship the Father. You and I cannot possibly know what will happen in the year to come. There will be moments of great joy as well as heartache, times of victory and of loss. Yet through it all, “We know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose” (Rom. 8:28). And that, my friend, is why we can always find a reason to exalt Him. I hope you enjoy these photographs of Africa. I pray they will remind you that the Creator who formed such a breathtaking place and such fascinating wildlife can make something beautiful and praiseworthy out of whatever happens in your life.

rhinoceros, African bush elephant, and the lion. Both nations also face the dangers of crime, poverty, and disease. But that’s how life is, isn’t it? We experience beautiful moments when we sense God’s presence so powerfully that the hymns of thanksgiving simply flow from our lips. Then there are the dark times that make it difficult to praise. The challenge for all

Prayerfully yours, Charles F. Stanley

Worthy are You, our Lord and our God, to receive glory and honor and power; for You created all things, and because of Your will they existed, and were created.” —Revelation 4:11

God created everything in the heavens and on the earth. Think about the astounding difference between the gnat and the elephant. There is no possible way both of these evolved from the same thing. Each insect, animal, bird, and fish of the sea testifies to the Father’s perfect design. —dr. charles stanley

I

“ love You, O Lord, my strength.” The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer, my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge; my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. I call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised, and I am saved from my enemies. —Psalm 18:1-3

Praising God means releasing my emotions and my innermost being to the Holy Spirit so that He can express love, adoration, worship, gratefulness, and appreciation to the living Lord of all creation through me. —dr. charles stanley

At times, I’ve heard people say, “God is boring.” I cannot fathom how they can believe that. Just look at His creation. Think about the fact that no two snowflakes are the same. Consider the hippopotamus or study the giraffe. There are hundreds of varieties of beetles. It’s amazing when you think about the diversity. He is not in the least boring. We serve an incredibly awesome and creative God. —dr. charles stanley
