Right: Driving home from work, I was fascinated by the lights that surrounded the night. Why don’t we get to stop and enjoy the lights? Night lights should be seen as unique and not taken for granted, that should be how the world preserve all the lights, the sun should not be the only brightness to the darkness. Left:Having never been to a farm, whiling living in Iowa, the more I starred at the puddle the more I thought it looked like cow manure. Although, manure is used to fertilize many thing and it should be looked at in a pretty way not awful.

APERTURE. Left:Helping my sister pick heels to wear for the night, I thought of an idea and captured the dim light of the heels in her room. Top:The faucet hid between two buildings behind the school, getting no sunlight only darkness, as green creeps onto its surface. FEBRUARY 2016 7

LIGHT

Right: The drinking fountain symbolises color as it segregated people before, but now brings people together. The sun let off a reflection on an afternoon sky. Top: As my light bulb died I replaced it only to find a pattern staring right at me, and bouncing off the blank wall.

FRAMING Right: As we were having a quick chat, she thought her dad arrived to pick her up, but she was fooled by the world and her earing shinned as I took the photo, framing her in a second.

Left: As I passed across a window, I spotted an old pencil sharpener full of dust and was captivated by it. Why does it sit there unused? Does it miss being of use to humans? And why does it sit there starring at the world waiting, but for what? 10 FEBRUARY 2016

LINE

Right: At Plato’s Closet the hangers are always hanging out creating a line of hangers, but I wanted people to focus more on the lines then the clothes so I changed the color and made the focus the hangers Left: Opening the door to the courtyard of the school,I spot a swirl of lines in a puddle right next to the trash can.

14-15 PERSPECTIVE Top: As the sun hid behind the building, I squatted low to get a glimpse of a stormy afternoon and a cloudy sky, as pink ran widely across. Bottom Left: The leaf fill into my hand and I dropped it scared thinking it was bug. However, I found it perfectly set on the ground in front of me, and I laid right next to it and captured its shadow with it.

Maad Osman’18 (left) and brother Khalid Osman’16 (top right), crashed into each other as I came down the hall. Unexpectedly I was taking a picture and they appeared in it, so I decided to use them in my portrait photos. The colors represent how different the world might seem even thought you might be siblings, nothing is the same just because blood is.

FREE FORM The Clown just stared at me in class begging me to smile or show emotion like he does, and I knew I had to take the picture. Closer and closer his face came to the camera’s face. A clown is colorful, so why shouldn’t the picture?

I wanted to test out the flash on the camera, as my sister pulled up to McDonald, and the camera’s face appeared on the window. Right: The hurricane shown on the shirt, should not be of a dark past, but a bright future. So I lightened up the shirt with brighter colors.
