FREE FORM

For the free form portion of this project, I chose to focus on the sun, sky and shadows - my personal three s’s in photography. (cover) This photo was taken during a sunset following a storm from the rooftop of a downtown Iowa City parking garage. The still-looming clouds and the horizon line frame both the sun and still-operating buildings. (left) Taken on Highway 1, this photo gives the perspective of a car, with a beautiful diagonal cloud arrangement, as a storm approaches in the distance. (right) This past summer, I had the extraordinary experience to visit Costa Rica. This photo was taken on Playa Hermosa, making shadows out of the families visiting the breaethtaking beach towards dusk.

(left) Also taken on Playa Hermosa, this sunset photo was taken on the last day of the Costa Rica trip, followed by a final night swim in this beautiful country. (right) Photographed outside of West High, this photo depicts a beautiful blue sky, streaked with patterned white clouds. An electricity pole breaks the pattern, looming above the camera.
