All three of these pictures were taken at West High School on a winter day. These pictures have Liz Nodia ‘19 in all three and Katie Havel ‘19 in the top right. In the top left the brick pillars frame Nodia’s ‘19 face as she lays on the bench. In the bottom left Nodia ‘19 is smelling a plant and the library detectors frame her in a cross shape. In the top right a hole in a wall outside of West and took a picture of Havel ‘19 and Nodia ‘19 talking.

Shutter Speed The picture down below was taken in my backyard on a cold winter day. The picture was taken of my dog Bae who is about 10 months old. Bae moved away from the camera when it got closer to him. The picture is blurred because it was a low shutter speed. The picture on the right is a picture of katie Havel ‘19 at West High School throwing snow in the courtyard.

Aperture In the picture above Katie Havel ‘19 and Liz Nodia ‘19 are being framed by a hole outside of West High, but they are out of focus and the bottom of the hole is in focus. In the picture at right the top part of my leggings are in focus but my shoes are blurry. This was taken in West High School by the cafeteria. 8 FEBRUARY 2016

Portraiture In the picture down below Liz Nodia ‘19 has a flashlight behind her making a shadow. On the Bathroom wall. In the picture to the right Maddie Molina ‘19 was on the West High School stairs in the courtyard. This portrait was very pretty with Maddie’s hair blowing in the wind.

In the top left, Liz Nodia ‘19 stood in front of West High School’s small auditorium curtain. The curtain made lines going up to the ceiling. In the bottom left Liz Nodia ‘19 looked down the staircase of West High. The railing of the stairs made lines on each level. In the picture at the right, Katie Havel ‘19 had a line of her footprints leading to her.

In the picture at the top left, Katie Havel ‘19 was in the West High bathroom so we would have a dark place to shin a flashlight. In the picture below Katie Havel ‘19, Liz Nodia ‘19, and I stood in front of West High and took a picture with the sun behind us so you could see our shadows. In the last picture on the right Maddie Molina ‘19 and Katie Havel ‘19 stood in the West High courtyard with the sun beind them so their shadows would show.

Perspective In the picture above I was in the West High courtyard laying down in the grass to take a picture of a tree in a worms eye view. In the picture at the right I was looking down at Liz Nodia ‘19 to take a picture of her in the West High stair well. This picture was taken as a birds eye view.

Freeform: Nature Both of these pictures were taken in my backyard. The picture on the left was of a tree that had few trees left around it because the others had died. This tree was the last one in the area. In the picture above the trees have a pretty faded sunset above them. Also, the tree at the right in the picture is my favorite tree in my yard because of the way it is leaning over the grass.

Freeform: Animals Both of these pictures were taken of my dog Bae in my backyard. In the picture below Bae was moving backwards away from my hand because he was excited and thought I was going to play with him. In the picture at the right Bae is starting to lay down to play. You can tell he is happy because he is wagging his tail.
