8/10 The acting in this film is great, especially considering how young the actors were when filming. Our one criticism that brought the rating down was that the book introduced us to the world of magic so wonderfully and while the movie got the job done, it had some unneeded material.

A film that remains faithful to the book and only keeps the necessary parts of character and story. Have no concern for the child acting, as the child actors deliver fantastic performances along with Gregory Peck. This film is put together very well and needs no large scale to leave a lasting impression on you.

In this interpretation, there is no unnecessary time wasted. Practically every scene in this franchise has merit. This series may be a touch lengthy and a bit violent for those under fourteen, but all things considered, a fantastic interpretation that improves on almost everything of the books.

This movie is a staple for teen romance nowadays. Many were blown away by the romance, humor, and angst involved in the film. The acting is impressive, but some acting from Noah Centineo was questionable. Overall a cheesy movie, but great.
