FRAMING Left photo: The students walk past the vibrant mural framing the hall. Once they are past it, the coloring of the rest of the school seems rather bleak. Right photo: Emma Brustkern ‘18 stops by to replicate my shot against the wooden door. We are both pumped to start the portfolio project!

SHUTTER SPEED 6 FEBRUARY 2016

Left photo: After being caught the winter cold, I took a little run to spark some energy. Fortunately, my shadow was able to accompany me along with its chain of friends. Right Phot: Damarius Levi ‘18 strikes a pose by throwing a rose in the air. Clearly his facial expression is the best thing in this photo. FEBRUARY 2016 7

APERTURE Left photo: Outside near the flagpole, I took photos of the long bench. I really liked how the wood contrasted with the aluminum.

Right photo: Purely out of random, I managed to snap a photo of West’s roof. The sun beaming off of it along with the bright blue background really added to shot.

APERTURE Left photo: I stopped by the greenery in the commons. Once I was able to get up close to the leaves, I truly got a sense of its beauty. I particularly like the spots present in the leaves.

Right photo: My pal, Timothy, and I ventured into the library for a little bit. I was able to admire his vibrant, pink body and golden mane. The people in the library were most likely weirded out by me talking photos of a toy pony, but I thorougly enjoyed it!

LINES 12 FEBRUARY 2016

Left photo: For some reason, I was really drawn to the orange nets outside of West High. I liked how a bus subtly manageto peak out of the building. Right photo: I look out the vast windows cascading along the stairs. I am able to admire the sun beaming off of the center.

FEBRUARY 2016 13

PERSPECTIVE Left photo: Emma Brustkern ‘18 bravely volunteers to shoot her eye up close. Her eyes truly popped in this photo. Right photo: After venturing outside, I was able to shoot above West High’s plants. I can only imagine how more beautiful they will look in spring!

PORTRAITURE Left photo: Emma Brutkern ‘18 gleefully poses on the rock outside of West. She may have been laughing at my undeniable humor. Then again, she probably wasn’t.

16 FEBRUARY 2015

Right photo: Similary, Brustkern poses near the green bushes in the courtyard. I love how how she managed to look super happy in these photos when she clearly was freezing.

LIGHT Left photo: Purely out of random, I managed to take a shot of a wall at West High. Ironically, I really like how the texture and light emulate from the image.

Right photo: While the light from this photo isn’t as present, I really like how it subtly peaks out from the trees. I remember it being horribly cold that day though the sun still managed to make an appearance.

FREE FORM Left photo: On Sunday, I saw deer peaking out my living room window. In order to get a good shot, I had my mom holler to grab their attention. Even though my neighbors most likely thought we were crazy for screaming out of our windows, the end shot was worth it. Right photo: While the right shot is similar to the left one, I really admire the profile look. The deer was most likely staring off into the distance. Or he may have been thinking about his deer bae.

FREE FORM Left photo: This photo was a glimpse of the sunset outside my living room window. The sky looks practically like cotton candy.

Right photo: Similarly, the sunset peaks out of the trees. The night approaches as the sun makes its way down.
