It gives me great pleasure to welcome you to Killarney and to the Muckross Park Hotel and Spa. My colleagues and I are delighted to have you as our guest and trust that you will have a comfortable and enjoyable stay with us.
Our hotel which was originally built in 1795 as a humble hunting lodge quickly became the first hotel in Killarney, known as The Herbert Arms. In the 200 years since, The Muckross Park has played host to royalty, great figures of the arts and witnessed many historic events. Should you wish to discover anymore about the history of the property, please do not hesitate to ask one of our Concierge Team who would be delighted to help.
We are located in the very heart of Killarney National Park, with the beautiful Muckross Demesne a short stroll across the road. Our Concierge Team would be delighted to assist you in planning the perfect itinerary for your stay in Killarney and arrange a variety of unique activities such as jaunting car trips, horse-riding, rock climbing, boat trips or kayaking on the world-famous lakes of Killarney. Please let us know if we can provide you with walking maps of the area as there are many wonderful walks such as the Blue Pool walk to choose from, or perhaps you may wish to avail of our complimentary bikes so you can explore at your own leisure and venture into nearby Killarney town.
During your stay we hope that you enjoy the many outlets on offer within the resort. For fine dining our award-winning Yew Tree Restaurant is open from Tuesday through to Saturday for dinner and we would recommend that you book a table in advance. Our beautiful Tea Rooms are available for Afternoon Tea and for more relaxed dining our famous Irish Pub Colgans offers a casual dining menu of wholesome, gastro pub classics prepared and served with style daily. Located in the original part of Muckross Park Hotel & Spa, Monk’s Lounge is a bright and beautiful space to enjoy gourmet bites and cocktails in comfortable couches surrounding a large open fireplace.
The Spa at Muckross is an award-winning world of tranquillity and relaxation. Our glorious, Gothic-inspired spa is expertly designed to reflect the unique nature of our surroundings, where nothing has been spared in the layout of the contemporary monastic elegance. Partnering with The Organic Pharmacy, our large team of specially-trained therapists provide a wide range of treatments including massages, facials and exfoliations that completely relax and rejuvenate your body. CChildren
We welcome children to our hotel and have designed a varied and interesting menu for our younger guests. Children must always be under adult supervision. Children are not allowed in the licensed areas of the hotel after 9:00 pm.
Children under 16 are strictly prohibited in the Vitality Suite & Pool area at the Spa. This is an Adult Only space, which has been designed for calm and relaxation.

Fire Detection System: For your safety and comfort, the hotel has an automatic fire detection system with smoke detectors and alarm bells.
On discovery of a fire: Raise the alarm by breaking the glass on the nearest ‘break-glass’ unit located along the corridor.
On hearing a continuous fire alarm:

2.Close all doors behind you.
3.Do not re-enter the building unless instructed by the hotel management.
