KING OF YOUR OWN CASTLE

Nothing says luxury like staying in your own ancient tower that dates back to 1161. La Capitolare is that tower, a luxury suite in Porto Venere that offers a unique experience overlooking the waves of the Ligurian Sea. Even Rapunzel would want to stay up there.

With three floors of charm and history, in the heart of one of the most beautiful villages in Italy, La Capitolare has everything you might expect from a luxury residence: private chef, open air terrace, Jacuzzi, and other unique experiences such as boat tours (you can even rent a private yacht with a skipper), wine tasting, and more. It is more than just another luxury stay; this is an experience. There’s a lot to take in. You'll be amazed by the panoramic views of the sea, the scents and flavors, the history that envelopes you as you wander through this luxury accommodation. This is the place to stop, breathe, and enjoy every moment to explore the pearl of the Ligurian Riviera: Porto Venere.

The village of Porto Venere rises at the southern end of a peninsula, detached from the jagged coastline of the eastern Ligurian Riviera that forms the western shore of the Gulf of La Spezia: also known as the Gulf of Poets. At the end of this peninsula there are three small

islands - the Palmaria, the Tino and the Tinetto; only the Palmaria island, which rises just in front of the village of Porto Venere beyond a narrow arm of the sea, is in small part inhabited.

The Capitolare Tower stands in this ancient village, and has always protected it.

After an in-depth conservative restoration, carried out using recycled materials and following the principle of eco-friendly architecture, the Capitolare team has returned the thousand-year-old tower to the community. In this new guise, along with the attentive and exclusive service and attention to detail, Capitolare stands as a true benchmark of luxury, excellence and uniqueness. Andrea Borlenghi is the founder and the owner of this amazing tower, that in his words "has been a bulwark for the defense of the city, and today it finally takes a welldeserved rest to welcome curious travelers from all over the world".

The entire interior design of the suite was done by designer Federica Cristaudo. The recurring theme is the movement of the sea. You can find it in the colors, materials, shapes. The particularity of the intervention comes from the mixture of 3D Printing (made by Italian company Caracol-AM) in synergy with the applied arts dating back to the twelfth century. A true retreat for travelers in search of uniqueness, excellence and complete privacy is waiting for you in Porto Venere.
