Course Outline
• This subject is continuation to basics of supply chain management
• The course covers topics related to product flow that have already been encountered in previous course but in more depth, with a more intensive use of the tools acquired in courses in statistics and optimization. • The objective of this course is to: – To develop a deeper understanding of logistics and distribution problems including strategy, design and operations – To develop skills in using mathematical tools like statistics and optimization and business applications like MS Excel etc to address logistics problems – To become familiar with some of the contemporary logistics problems using case studies and learn how these problems can be addressed using logistics concepts
