LIMITLESS

MOONLIGHT PATHWAYS

Changes of the sea surrounding the Arabian Gulf documented through a series taken at different times over a few months period. The combination of the beautiful colours and shapes created on the horizon catch attention and make a pleasant surprise to the viewer. Influenced by Hiroshi Sugimoto’s black and white seascapes, the typological series form a study of the seascape. Limitless illustrates the power of nature as well as the vast view of the sea level, giving an impression of loneliness in the middle of the ocean with no sign of land. It is one of the projects dedicated to landscape and nature transformation affected by the climate or human intervention. The water colour depends on the wavelengths of light reflecting on the surface and substances presented beneath the surface combined with weather conditions such as humidity, wind and temperature, etc. Global warming is an issue that urges attention and supportive actions worldwide to save our planet.

ABOUT THE PHOTOGRAPHER “The world I see is a reflection of me and my personal experiences.” Ivanka Zagorska

Ivanka Zagorska is a fine art and documentary photographer based in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. By recognising the beauty in the mundane, her vision is to reveal secrets and convey a meaningful story that exists within the subject at a particular moment in time. Intrigued by changing nature that soon will become part of history and distinctive heritage, her work focuses on landscape alteration often caused by people, creatively captured in a unique, artistic way while preserving its authentic appearance. Her work establishes an emotional connection, finding one’s true self through memories and feelings provoked by human involvement within the unseen world. Besides her documentary and fine art projects, her freelance career includes commissions for documentary and fashion portraits for editorial assignments and personal portfolios. As a skilled entrepreneur, she believes that today’s business is about people and their involvement is significant. Therefore, engagement with an audience becomes the primary focus. Other areas of pursuit are photo retouching and specifically photo restoration of old photos that are of personal value as they bring memories about people we love. PRESERVE THE WILDERNESS The Serengeti is a large National Park in Northern Tanzania, well known for the annual migration of zebra and wildebeest. This nature park offers the big five with wide-open savannah fields that is just breathtaking. Reference: Serengeti Park (2000) Animals of the Serengeti. Kigelia Tree, also known as the Sausage tree, is an evergreen and mostly found in the Serengeti. They can easily grow to a height of about 66 feet (20m) tall. The tree was named after the fruit it carries, which has the shape of a sausage.

Rhim Gazelle is also known as the sand and slender-horned gazelle. They seem to adapt well to desert life and considered to be on the endangered species list. Apparently, there are less than 2500 left in the wild.

Africa’s own African buffalo is also known as the Cape buffalo. Their characteristic feature is their horns. This very dangerous specie of animals kills about 200 people a year.

The Masai Giraffe lives in Tanzania around the Kilimanjaro area. They are known to be the largest out of nine species of African giraffes. The Masai giraffes are famous for their distinguished spots on their bodies and seem to be the largest-body giraffe of its kind.

This Spotted Hyena is one of the fifth smallest carnivore species in the world. There are four different types to be found across Africa. These scavengers are skilled hunters; they seldom hunt for themselves. Why wouldn’t they if they can dine off the leftovers of other predators.

Our Serengeti Elephants numbered down during late 1800 because of the ivory trade in East Africa and most of them fled to inaccessible and remote areas. Wardens spotted a few loners in the park during early 1900. It is to believe that elephants were never part of the natural Ecosystem in the Serengeti.

ABOUT THE PHOTOGRAPHER “The smell of Africa’s ground and it’s breathtaking nature is a way to purify your soul.” Eureka Hyman

Landscape and wildlife photographer Eureka Hyman gets her inspiration from the roots of her creativity, perhaps because of her African heritage. It is imperative as a creator to do what inspires her the most. Alongside her creativity and enthusiasm, she requires meaning. Her photo shoots are part of a jigsaw puzzle, the recollection of events and her artistry is about creating something new. Eureka’s vision is to see and communicate the subject through photography. Her world becomes silent during these moments, from the start until the editing is complete. She feels free, and has grown as an artist through her originality. It becomes her accomplishment.
