Introduction: During this reporting period (26 October – 1 November), IOM tracked and registered 253 people, all of whom arrived from White Nile into Khartoum and were tracked by the Jabal Awlia hub. This amounts to 36 persons per day, an increase from the last two weeks’ cumulative number of 283 persons, or 20 persons per day. There were no new reported arrivals to South Kordofan or West Kordofan this week.
Since the beginning of the conflict, IOM registered 14,671 persons in South Kordofan, and 1,044 in West Kordofan. The IOM tracking hub at Jabal Awlia has tracked 31,430 persons thus far. The verified numbers in East Darfur and Abyei remain the same at 164, and 2,496 persons, respectively. According to UNHCR, 105,112people have arrived from South Sudan since the beginning of the conflict, which is a slight increase from last week.
Tracking and Registration The South Sudanese entering Khartoum State are still moving to the open areas such as Um Dorman, Haj Yousif, Kalakel, Mayo, and Soba. Of the 253 persons tracked by IOM in Jabal Awlia, 83 are females, and 108 are children. 57% of all the individuals whom IOM tracked as heading to Khartoum are female, and 43% are male. IOM has tracked and registered 49,805 people entering Sudan in total since the beginning of the conflict; 2,413 nomads, 47,343 South Sudanese, and 49 Sudanese. This is equivalent to 4.9% nomads, 95% South Sudanese, and 0.1% Sudanese. 5863 5285
