Webinar: Universal Health Coverage

Webinar: Universal Health Coverage 7th April 2018, 15:00 GMT+0(World Health Day) In the spirit of this year’s World Health Day theme, “Universal Health Coverage: Everyone, Everywhere,” IPSF has put together tools and essential messages to guide, motivate and inspire you to act.

Description What is universal health coverage (UHC)? According to the WHO, “UHC means that all people and communities can use the promotive, preventive, curative, rehabilitative and palliative health services they need, of sufficient quality to be effective, while also ensuring that the use of these services does not expose the user to financial hardship.” This concept is firmly rooted in the WHO’s constitution of 1948, which states that health is a fundamental human right. In addition, UHC relates to all health-related Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) established by the United Nations.1 Unfortunately, at least 50% of the population around the globe still does not have full coverage of essential health services.2 In this webinar, you will learn about Universal Health Coverage and how youth can make a positive impact on this global health policy initiative.
