World Pharmacists Day: Poster Competition Call for Participants I.

Introduction IPSF consists of members from diverse countries, who have their own history of pharmacy. The study of the history of pharmacy is deserving of consideration as a review of the past, so that we may understand the present, and thus be enabled to plan intelligently for the future. Celebrating the 2021 World Pharmacists Day, IPSF’s WPD Poster Competition will bring an opportunity for members to recognize the history of pharmacy around the world and therefore develop their professions.

II.

About WPD World Pharmacists Day is on September 25th, which was first suggested by FIP Turkish members because it is the date that FIP came into existence in 1912. This suggestion was unanimously accepted by the Council and since 2010, World Pharmacists Day has been coordinated by FIP and celebrated through the involvement of its Member Organisations, either with structured, widespread campaigns or small scale projects. Each year welcomes a new theme to be developed to showcase the pharmacist in their positive effect on health.

III.

Goals ● Encourage activities that promote and advocate for the role of the pharmacist in improving health in every corner of the world. ● Encourage IPSF members to express creatively about the history of pharmacy. ● Recognize the past of our pharmacy profession to successfully set goals as a pharmacy student/graduate.
