CALL FOR THE HOST OF THE 67TH WORLD CONGRESS OF THE INTERNATIONAL PHARMACEUTICAL STUDENTS’ FEDERATION TO BE HELD IN 2022 The International Pharmaceutical Students’ Federation (IPSF) is calling for interested member organisations to host the 67th IPSF World Congress to be held in 2022. The IPSF World Congress is an 8 to 12-day international event held annually for pharmacy and pharmaceutical sciences students and recent graduates worldwide. The programme includes, but is not limited to, an official opening ceremony, the IPSF General Assembly, educational and scientific symposia on topics of pharmaceutical interest, meetings and workshops, a precongress training programme and many social events. Only organisations who have been IPSF members for at least two years prior to bidding, have no current outstanding debts towards the Federation, and are of good standing can submit a bid to host the event. Any member organization wishing to host the 67th IPSF World Congress must notify and submit their bid to the IPSF Secretary General (secgen@ipsf.org) no later than 11th of March 2022. The bid to be submitted should include a presentation containing a provisional budget, expected maximum number of participants, possible congress venues, and tentative dates. The Congress host will be approved online by CPs through a vote by correspondence after the IPSF Executive Committee has nominated a suitable bid from the submitted bids. The finances of the Congress are totally independent from IPSF and shall be handled by the host organisation. All invoices from the event will be audited by the IPSF Treasurer, and any discrepancies will be investigated by IPSF. No profit shall be generated from this event. Any excess funds from the event will be treated according to the IPSF Official Documents. The budget shall also cover the IPSF Executive Committee registration fees, speaker accommodation and transportation during the event, as well as prizes for the Professional Development Events and Poster Exhibitions. The event registration fee shall include accommodation, meals, and transportation during the event. The registration fee cannot exceed 55 Euros per night for the first registration period. It is strongly recommended that the accommodation be affordable and basic, yet hygienic and comfortable. Technical aids required for the smooth running of the congress, such as computer equipment and internet access, should be made available. The selected host organization is required to sign an event contract with IPSF. The host organization is required to work closely with the IPSF Executive Committee, who shall supervise the planning and organising of the Congress. The host will be required to submit updates and reports when requested by the IPSF Executive Committee. The Chairperson of the Reception Committee will be co-opted onto the IPSF Executive Committee for the mandate within which the World Congress will occur.
