IPSF AfRO SCIENTIFIC POSTER COMPETITION 2021

Call for Scientific Poster Competition: World Antimicrobial Awareness Week 2021 Introduction: The Scientific Poster Competition is an initiative under the Media and Publications portfolio, with the aim to improve students' awareness on a scientific topic and boost the members’ implication towards IPSF and IPSF AfRO. It is our greatest pleasure to invite you to take part in this initiative and showcase your creativity by submitting your poster design. The theme of the scientific poster competition is: “Spread awareness, stop resistance”. Our objective is to provide a platform for the Federation’s members to share their knowledge on antimicrobial resistance and raise global awareness on the issues of misuse, overuse and abuse of antimicrobial agents with the hope that it will provide a better understanding of the topic and increase the awareness of students and recent graduates on this public health issue. World Antimicrobial Awareness Week (WAAW) is celebrated from 18th to 24th November every year. The WAAW 2021 campaign will encourage stakeholders, including policymakers, health care providers, and the general public to recognize that everyone can be an Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) Awareness champion. Participants of this competition are encouraged to spread awareness about what AMR is, share stories about its consequences, and demonstrate how the actions of individuals, families, professionals, and communities affect the spread of AMR.
