In a rapidly industrialised world, we are facing a world that is experiencing climate change and global warming. As a result, the frequency of disasters occurring is also on the rise. Disasters include natural disasters such as floods, volcano eruptions, typhoons, earthquakes, and so on. As pharmacists and healthcare leaders, we are responsible for the good health and wellbeing of the public during these unfortunate events. We need to be prepared for these events by having emergency preparation and disaster resilience incorporated into our SOPs to ensure that we as pharmacists are well equipped with the knowledge of what to do when a disaster strikes.
