INSTITUTION SEM-V FALL 2018
Project Brief: Main focus of the program was to experiment and explore different design ideas of institutional character in organisation, form and materials and workout the appropriate structural system to support the entire design development and use it as a thread to bind the whole project together. As a part of redevelopment of dilapidated school building in Gomtipur, AMC had floated a competition for incubating new design ideas of Primary school. The program was intended to give total freedom, with logical reasoning and practical solution for the proposed built form. The AMC was looking for an alternative design for the municipal school which will be instrumental in changing the way one looks at municipal school building through variety of exploration possible to impart the spatial characteristic.

Each classroom will have a balcony so that students can interact with each other.
Each classroom has a niche for storage and the ground floor has a plinth where they sit on the ground and mid-day meals are served. The doors and windows have louvers on the bottom so that cool air can come inside during summers. Each classroom has open space adjacent to it so during their break time they can directly access the open space.
The 5 open spaces with different character and size. All the spaces can be easily accessed by the classrooms.
The axis shows the south-west wind direction. The staircase is placed such that it gets the view of the landscape.
Blue boxes shows the classrooms. Each classroom is accessible by the corridor and is adjacent to the open spaces according to their age group.

WORKING DRAWING SEM-VI SPRING 2019
Project Brief: The studio was about developing a set of working drawings for institutional project. The material used was brick with other construction material concrete. The concrete beams and lintel bands were exposed. The walls were load bearing with exposed brick. The wall sections helped us to develop a language and the elevation of the building. Exploring through model helped us to understand the end-junction of the building. The basic set included level plans, sections, elevations, bathroom details, staircase details, wall-sections, electrical layout and door-window detail with door and window schedules.

MASS HOUSING SEM-IV SPRING 2018
Project Brief:
The main purpose of the semester was to create a housing in the dense fabric of Benares, U.P. The streets were narrow and the houses were compact. One thing observed during the site visit was that people interacted through terraces and balconies and it had multi functional use.Small open spaces are created fro the interaction of the people and road is allowed to pass through site because the ground floor units have attached shops with them which will help their economic growth.
The bedrooms are on raised the streets doesn
On the streets elements such as otlas and chowks provides people a space to communicate and interact. The terraces were mainly used by the females of the family to carry their daily routine and this way it became an important place to interact. Each and every unit in the design has a terrace attached with them for communication and household activities. There are 3 different types of unit. Each unit varies according to the use.

MAT E R I A L S T U D I O SEM-III FALL 2016
Project Brief: The site is near the Community Space Center, a part of university campus in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. The Center will be a material incubator and will be open to all the citizens of Ahmedabad. It will play a key role in knowledge creation of innovation and indigenous construction techniques. Workshops and exhibitions will be held at regular intervals. The material taken for the studio was Stone. The stone was used in the form of Pointed Barrel Vaults, Quadripartite Ribbed Vault and Octopartite Ribbed Vault. As it was a material incubator variation in the roof was explored through models.

A 4 day hands on workshop was held at Green Village during the RSP 2017 to Bali, Indonesia. It was hosted by Kul Kw at the green school to teach professionals about the potential of bamboo as a green building material. Initially we were given bamboo sticks to explore ideas and later on the idea was transformed into bamboo structure.
