Something that happens or is regarded as happening; an occurrence, esp. one of some importance.

At IPSWICH BOROUGH COUNCIL we work hard to ensure a varied and exciting programme of events throughout the year and believe a well-constructed annual events diary can add significant value to the regions economy, its profile and the enjoyment of its residence. Each year, Ipswich Borough Council programmes and coordinates a vast array of events in partnership with local businesses, the media and other organisations. The following content represents the wide programme of events organised by or in partnership with Ipswich Borough Council in a typical calendar year. The examples selected give a comprehensive overview of what was on offer including the largest and most renowned events such as Ipswich Music Day and the Indian Summer Mela, both highlights of the Ipswich Ip-art festival.
