Pomegranate Harvest Celebration in Iran

In many Iranian villages, including those in Roodbar, Qazvin, Gilan, Kurdistan, Yazd and Isfahan, people celebrate the arrival of autumn and its mythical fruit with festivities such as the pomegranate harvest celebration.

Pomegranates are of great importance among Iranians as a celestial fruit. Therefore, in some parts of Iran, celebrations are held at the time of pomegranate harvest.

The other goal of the celebration, of course, is to bring people together and keep them away from their daily worries. The ceremony will be held alongside the twin cedar trees of the village.

These festivals include various sections such as handicrafts, local achievements, traditional foods, singing indigenous songs, and local sporting events.

The festival is based on the presentation and sale of pomegranate products such as pomegranate juice, pomegranate paste, pomegranate cake and other products.

Many foreign tourists and Iranian people attend these happy celebrations.
