JOHN J CURRY ELEMENTARY SCHOOL REDESIGN
PROJECT DESCRIPTION Located in the Alameda community in Tempe, AZ. This project focuses on Low Impact Development (LID) to mitigate the existing urban heat island and flooding. Features that are included are bioswales, natural earth work and retention basins. The redesign of the school yard also focuses on outdoor learning spaces to encourage education in an exicting way for children. 5

GARFIELD STREET HOME REDESIGN
PROJECT DESCRIPTION Residential project in the historical Coronado District on Garfield Street. The intial landscape was a empty lot with very little vegetation. This is a shared space occupied by multiple tenats. This redesign of the landscape mitigates heat by planting an abundace of native trees that are low maintence and utilizes less water.

FLOW TRANSFER OF WATER
PROJECT DESCRIPTION Gerns Vegan Treats is a restaurant that will be located in the Chandler area. The goal of the project is to manipulate the topography to transfer the flow of water in retention basins and other inflitration swales. The design includes: 6 swales, 2 retention basins, native trees and plantings to mitigate heat and amount of water needed.
