The Recrea on District The Irmo Chapin Recrea on District was formed in 1969 to serve community members living in the Lexington County por on of School District Five. ICRC has earned a reputa on for program and facility excellence and has a racted par cipants from surrounding coun es. Because their tax dollars support recrea on services, ICRC district residents receive discounted rates for programs and facility rentals (excluding Saluda Shoals Park) upon proof of residency. Fees Ac vity and event fees in this guide are subject to change without no ce, prior to registra on. Register for Programs If you are an exis ng ICRC customer, you can register online at www.icrc.net for most programs and ac vi es. New customers should call the park during business hours to establish an account before registering online. Registra on is also accepted at each of the parks or by phone. Registra on is confirmed upon payment. Because many classes fill up quickly, register one week before the class date so we can make class enrollment decisions. We will accept registra on as long as there is space available. ICRC ID Policy: Visitors to Crooked Creek and Seven Oaks Parks are required to present an ICRC ID with associated fees for admission to open gym, fitness and weight areas, racquetball courts, walking/running track and other unsupervised areas. Anyone age 6 and older must have a valid ICRC ID for admission. ID cards are valid for one year. Cancella on/Refund Policy: Refund requests must be received in wri ng no later than three days prior to the start of the program. A $5 service fee is charged. No refunds or transfers will be made once the ac vity has begun and certain ac vi es, such as trips and special events, define a date a er which no refunds will be made. Please check individual program requirements for guidelines. Full refunds/ credits will be given if the program is cancelled by ICRC. Physical Requirements: Unless otherwise stated, ac vi es are open to beginners and do not require previous experience. Average physical condi on is all that is needed for most programs. Please call for informa on about accessibility or concerns about physical ability required for par cipa on. Assump on of Risk: All ac vi es, including those offered by ICRC, have inherent risks which include personal injury or property loss. Prior to par cipa on, you will be required to sign a form which acknowledges your understanding and acceptance of these risks. Parents or guardians must sign for youth ages 17 and under. 2013–2014 School Year A ernoon Safari provides a safe, nurturing environment and offers a variety of opportuni es for children to grow physically, socially and academically. Our daily schedule includes an a ernoon snack, recess, supervised homework me, social recrea on and physical educa on. Children are grouped by grades as they rotate through these program areas. Ac vi es include arts & cra s, reading, character building exercises, guest speakers/demonstrators and organized games. Extreme Teen A er School Program Extreme Teen provides a supervised and safe a erschool environment for Chapin Middle School students. Par cipants must register for the program and have a valid ICRC Youth Basic Pass. The program operates Mon.-Fri. un l 6:00 p.m. at Crooked Creek Park. Staff will escort CMS students to the park daily. We maintain an overall adult/par cipant ra o of 1:15.
