Final Skirt Images
Evaluation My research showed that checks were a big trend throughout high street stores for A/W 18/19. WGSN has predicted it will also be a trend throughout A/W 19/20 as well. I was inspired by this so used it on my fabric attachment on my skirt. This makes the skirt trendy and will be an item customers will want to buy because of this. It can be worn with plain black or white knit jumper or top. A vintage theme runs through it with the use of orange/brown thread used against the dark blue denim which some costumer might like. Its USP would be that it is trendy, good quality and affordable. I have priced it at £25.99 which is more than Zara TRF usual pricing for a denim skirt which is £19.99 however the cost is due to the added fabric attachment and the detailed stitching that is used within the skirt. Its also not incredible expensive so will be affordable for Zara’s TRF customer. Things I would change about my skirt would be that the side pockets are too small for the average size of a woman’s hand making the pocket unsuitable for their purpose. If I was to make it again I would not fit the pockets into the mid seams of the front panels, instead would have created bigger pockets and fitted them in further along the panels. Also I think that the zip is a few centimetres too long, which makes the skirt look slightly out of proportion although this allows room for customers to get the skirt on and off easily. Overall, I am pleased with outcome of my denim skirt, it is something a bit different for the denim range at Zara’s TRf collection but is on trend and suitable for casual wear.
