Dan Hillier has developed a unique style, combining Victorian sensibilities with a fascination for animal attributes. His work is characterized by depictions of fantastical human/animal hybrids, spliced together with late-1800s imagery. Hillier’s beautiful, classically rooted images find their power in their unsettling effect, as they seamlessly blur distinctions normally implied by reality. The artist’s previous exhibitions include shows at the Saatchi gallery, the ICA and more recently, The Louvre.


JASON MUNN

Jason Munn began making posters over a decade ago for local venues and independent musicians, designing under the pseudonym The Small Stakes. Now, working under his name, Jason continues to focus on posters, as well as design and illustration commissions. A selection of his posters are part of the permanent collection at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art and Denver Art Museum. In 2010, Chronicle Books published “The Small Stakes” which focuses on Jason’s posters created from 20022009.

Matt Taylor is an illustrator and comic artist based in the Sussex countryside who spends his days crafting expansive, sometimes psychedelic, Americana inspired illustrations with a nod to classic comic book art of the fifties and sixties.

Robert Sae-Heng is a freelance Illustrator/ Artist based in London with Mexican and Thai origin who graduated from The University For The Creative Arts in 2009. He was born audibly impaired but eventually learned to read and speak at a later age. He draws and paints for European/ International clients and enjoys composing images that encapsulate daily evanescent scenes. He truly believes, that traveling broadens the mind.

MaGUMa is the pseudonym for Spanish artist Marcos Guardiola Martín, who is based in Madrid and works for a growing number of publications and international brands. Inspired by artists like Moebius and Milano Manara, as well as old adult comics like Metal Hurlant and El Vivora, MaGUMa has developed a style that’s bright, tactile and a little surreal. He draws almost constantly, but also loves to go climbing and cycling, which enables him to meet new people and experience the landscape. When it’s time for a break, his sketchbook comes out and he captures the moment in a drawing. Other influences include Jackson Pollock, Jean-Michel Basquiat and Pablo Picasso.

Hieronymus Bosch, the Dutch genius who took his name from the market town of Den Bosch, painted nightmarish fantasies populated by supernatural beings, and all-encompassing meditations on the cycle of life.


ERNST HAECKEL


Ernst Haeckel – philosopher, professor, physician, naturalist, biologist and artist. The pinnacle of his work – Art Forms of Nature - began publication in 1899 and is still an astonishing record of life on earth. When art and science combine, something sublime can come to pass.


DAVID ATTENBOROUGH


David Attenborough was born in London, England, in 1926. After studying the natural sciences at the University of Cambridge, he began his career as a producer at the BBC, where he launched the successful Zoo Quest series. Attenborough was made controller of BBC Two in 1965 and later its director of programming. During his tenure the station crossed over to color television, and Attenborough was instrumental in expanding its natural history content. Attenborough left the BBC to begin writing and producing various series, including the smash hit Life on Earth, which set the standards for the modern nature documentary. Since then Attenborough has written, produced, hosted and narrated countless award-winning nature-focused programs and his devoted his life to celebrating and preserving wildlife.

The work of illustrator Katie Scott first came to public notice after she created cover art and posters for the band, Bombay Bicycle Club. Since then her beautiful pseudo scientific drawings, inspired by early anatomy and botany books, have been popping up everywhere, from branding for the British menswear label Dodd, to the pages of The New York Times.
