Hello friend!!!! This is your activity workbook. You can start by writing your name.

Name: Date of visit: Place: City:

When you are in countryside, don´t leave any traces of your visit. Respect plants, animals, and your general environment. If you take care of nature, you will be able to enjoy it more. At home, you can help to look after and care for nature. Save water and energy. Reduce, reuse, and recycle.

Be CAREFUL!!!! In the countryside, we should be respectful, passing as quietly as possible, neither disturbing the habitat nor the animals.

Now that you have observed some of the birds on the path, try to identify them by their silhouettes:

Fauna on the Path The natural richness of our water is seriously threatened by pollution, introducing new species and human activity.

Due to the pollution in the area, there is not a large variety of fish and any fish that live there have become used to living in polluted waters. We can mainly find pike. Help the pike to find that path that leads to the food:

Lagan Residue Rubbish thrown into lakes and seas stays there for a long time! If you want to enjoy your environment and a clean river, remember... Learn to throw rubbish in the correct bins so they can be treated correctly. Don´t use the toilet or sink as a bin. Keep in mind that it can block the river or sea. And the most important... if you see that something is damaging the river… REPORT IT!!!!!!!

Ahh!!! And remember... - BLACK BIN: Any type of residue that doesn´t go in the other containers. - BLUE BIN: Paper, cardboard and plastic - BROWN BIN: Food scraps and organic waste All glass containers (bottles, jars, and tins) without covers or lids. 12

The river is not a dump . You can help to keep it clean if you throw waste in the correct place. Draw lines to connect each one of the following residues with the type of container that you should put it in:

Green Igloo

Dark Green Container

Organic Bin

Blue Container
