Information & Policies
Sponsor-A-Child Did you know that about 37% of children in the Litchfield School District qualify for free or reduced lunch rates?
Free and Reduced rate eligibility is based on family income requirements that are set by the state of Minnesota in relation to the national poverty guidelines. As you can imagine, when families are strained financially it is often items that are seen as non-essential that are eliminated including recreation and enrichment opportunities such as swimming lessons, sports, leagues and after-school learning opportunities. Community Education offers an opportunity, through Sponsor-A-Child, for individuals and organizations to support the youth of our community by making a donation to help offset the costs of recreation and enrichment opportunities. Contact Community Education or stop by the office to learn more about how you can sponsor a child.
