The Building Rules and Regulations of Integrated Systems Europe

Any exhibitor building a stand higher than 275 cm needs approval by Integrated Systems Europe. Please send your stand design to Nina Bustria, Operations Manager at nbustria@iseurope.org so it may be checked to ensure your stand meets the regulations. The deadline for stand design submission is the 2nd of December 2011. This allows ample time to adjust the design if it does not meet regulations

1. General Regulations 1.1 The walls of the stands that are located against the walls of the hall can be built higher than the standard height, on the condition that the wall is placed at least 200 cm from the aisle. 1.2 Each exhibitor needs to have their own back wall. Use of the back wall of the hall is not allowed. Use of the wall of your neighbor is not allowed unless this is agreed upon with the neighboring exhibitor. 1.3 The stand must be built within the rented space. Fire exits and emergency exits must always remain accessible. 1.4 Please note that during the show, half of the lights are switched on in all the halls. 1.5 Spotlights should be pointed downwards and into the stand, never towards or across the aisles. Exhibitors using music systems, etc., must ensure they are in possession of the correct licensing and the volume is kept to a level that does not cause disturbance to others. Exhibitors failing to comply with warnings from show management may incur a fine and/or have power to their stand terminated.

2. Height Regulations (Walls) 2.1 The standard height is 275 cm. 2.2 When walls are higher than 275 cm, please note 2/3 of the wall of the full length of the stand can be built higher, up to a height of 550 cm, on the condition that this part of the wall is placed at least 100 cm from the aisle. 2.3 When the walls are higher than 550 cm, only 1/4 of the wall of the full length of the entire stand can be built higher, up to a height of 700 cm, on the condition that this part of the wall is placed at least 100 cm from the aisle. 2.4 Walls alongside the aisles that are closer than 100 cm from the aisle, are allowed to have a maximum length of 1/3 of the stand wall, unless the walls are lower than 275 cm.

3. Height Regulations (Pillars) 3.1 Pillars can be built higher than 275 cm, up to a height of 550 cm, on the condition the pillars together will not be more than 1/3 of the length of the stand. 3.2 Pillars can be built higher than 275 cm, up to a height of 700 cm, on the condition the pillars together will not be more than 1/5 of the length of the stand.

4. Rigging/Banners 4.1 Rigging is only allowed within the measurements of the stand. The banners should not take more than 1/4 of the total surface above your stand. 4.2 In general, the maximum height of a banner is 7 meters from the floor, except when the organizers prefer a higher position. 4.3 Exhibitors need to check their location to see if rigging is possible with Mr. Niels van Gestel: rigging@mansveldexpotech.nl 4.4 The distance between the banner and the truss/wall of the stand must be exactly 1 meter. 4.5 The maximum height of a banner is 700 cm – this is including the truss/wall height. Thus, a banner cannot be hung higher than 700 cm from the foundation.

5. Permits 5.1 For double-decked stands, a permit needs to be requested. Please go to: https://portal.rai.nl/document/ES/Schoon_en_Veilig/formulier/Construction_and_building_code_information. pdf or contact vergunningen@rai.nl for more information. 5.2 For platforms higher than 60 cm, please go to: https://portal.rai.nl/document/ES/Schoon_en_Veilig/formulier/ Construction_and_building_code_information.pdf or contact vergunningen@rai.nl for more information. 5.3 The deadline for requesting a permit is 03 December 2011. 5.4 Please note that when building without a permit, the authorities have the right to close off the entire stand or even prevent it from being built. The local authorities are very strict and no exceptions will be made.

6. Raised Floor 6.1 Stand floors can have a maximum height of 10 cm and should be accessible for the disabled.

7. Separation Walls 7.1 Separation walls can be placed between stands that are sharing a site. The standard height of this wall is 2.75m. Higher separation walls are allowed, up to 4m, on the condition that both exhibitors agree with this height and the completion of it.
