How de we define fake news or disinformation?
Fake news consists of pseudo-journalistic content disseminated through websites, written press, radio, television and social media with the purpose of disinformation. They are designed and broadcast with the deliberate intention of deceiving, misleading, manipulating personal decisions, discrediting or exalting an institution, entity or person, or obtaining financial or political gain. By presenting false facts as if they were real, they are considered a threat to the credibility of serious media, evidence and professional journalists, as well as a challenge to the receiving public.
