UN SOCLE UNITAIRE

Etat existant

FINAL CONCEPT DESIGN 最终概念设计方案 DEJI NANJING WTC TOWER A 50% CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS

Compared to the original design, LMA new design removes fins attached to the original facade and opens four corners, to achieve a more pure and serene architectural form. It unifies the tower with the new rational design of podium. Additionally, the open corners could add wind vortex shedding to reduce the wind load.By utilizing a more transparent high performance glass, the building let more light in to save the energy cost and reduce the exterior glare. Besides, with extended facade edges, more dramatic building corners break down the scale of facade and add a human scale to the tower. Therefore, Najing WTC will be a efficient, humble yet attractive new member to the city of Nanjing.

Hello, Sally Advanced Studio IV, GSAPP, 2018 Spring Instructor, Ada Tolla & Giuseppe Lignano

THE LINEAR PATH. THE GOAL. THE DEVIATION. 1. Prepare the ingredients. 2. Heat a large non-stick frying pan over mediumhigh heat. Pour in the eggs and cook, stirring frequently, until the eggs are scrambled. 3. Transfer the eggs to the empty bowl. Wipe out the pan with a paper towel (be careful, it’s hot!). [ I. The Conveyor ]

4. Add the pineapple and red pepper until caramelized. Then add the green onion and garlic. 5. Add the rice to the pan and stir to combine. 6. Break up the scrambled eggs with a spoon. Cook until the contents are warmed through, then remove the pan from heat. 7. Squeeze the juice of ½ lime over the dish and stir to combine. 8. Transfer the stir-fry to individual serving bowls and garnish each bowl with a lime wedge and a light sprinkle of cilantro.

“Sure. Sally, you never clean your kitchen... Dodecane Girls should be clean! I guess that’s why you couldn’t find a boyfriend.” “Shut up Dodecane. Is your pan ready??” “Here you are.”

Sally

“Ok. Let me do this.” “You look much more professional.”

THE FRAME. THE NEST. THE CONTEXT. I have been living in New York for four years. It is a busy and lovely city. My apartment sits at the north-east corner of the Central Park, where line B & C stops. I visit the deli downstairs of my apartment a lot whenever I wanna cook. Well, I love cooking. My best friend Dodecane lives right upstairs so we always eat together. Whenever he stops by, this is gonna be the scene: [ IV. The Neighbor ]

I buy all the ingredients and call him to come down. He is AlWAYS late. I doubt he does that in purpose just in order to make me prepare everything ready. The good thing is that he is definitely a better cook than me and I enjoy his pineapple rice a lot. Well, for sure I would ask him to clean up all the mess afterwards. Everybody loves cooking and everybody hates cleaning. Same do I. I guess the best thing of living here is that: doing what I like and being with whom I like. The pineapple rice we have made might not be the most yummy one in the world, but absolutely my favorite one.

THE COLLAGE. THE ASSEMBLAGE. THE NEW REALITY.
