Jagannatha Suta dasa Radha Krishna Records coordinator Premarnava dasa Properties Manager

I think you will be delighted as you turn through the pages of this year’s edition to see so much vibrant colour, exciting activities and inspirational events taking place in and around ISKCON-London. Srila Prabhupada explained that from London you could reach the whole world, and this is what we are trying to do. The people of the world are facing so much hardship, challenge and indecision at the present moment. Though so much technological advancement is there, none of this is truly satisfying the yearning of the heart to be connected to something higher, something deeper, something more relevant.

Krishna consciousness offers an opportunity to everyone from all walks of life to reconnect themselves with their unlimited blissful nature and dance in ecstasy.

These range from philosophical and spiritual issues such as the role of a spiritual master and reincarnation to topical and popular issues such as consumerism during the Christmas season, new-year resolutions and doomsday 2012.

A Blast from the Past The Radha-Krishna Temple was established by Srila Prabhupada at 7 Bury Place in 1969. The temple stood at that site for 10 years. In that time many devotees came in touch with

Krishna consciousness and Srila Prabhupada. On the 10th of September 2011 around 60 disciples of Srila Prabhupada, who had joined at Bury Place, once again gathered outside the building for a reunion harinama. Armed with mrdangas and kartals the devotees danced along Oxford Street as they did many years ago. The atmosphere of London was

transformed as the devotees swayed and sang the holy names. The crowds looked on with smiles and some even joined in.

Inside the temple the devotees continued dancing as Ranchor das sang sweetly and Their Lordships smiled beautifully.

It felt as though Srila Prabhupada was personally present.

The atmosphere was emotional as many devotees had not seen their Lordships for a number of years. The devotees left with maha prasadam and a small gift while we were all left completely inspired.

The harinama lasted three hours ending at ISKCON-London where these great souls returned home to Sri Sri Radha-Londonisvara.
