During the months of January and February, Russian Vedic Society (RVS) held their weekly Bhagavad-Gita discussions in the Seminar Room, as well as participating in cooking the Sunday feast and leading kirtan in the Temple Room. There were also programmes held in the homes of RVS members. During the lockdown, RVS were very active online. There have been daily japa sessions in the morning and scriptural readings in the evenings. The weekly Sunday programme took place on Zoom, and there have been a number of additional online programmes with senior Russian-speaking devotees giving classes on various topics. In April, several devotees from RVS participated in the organisation of an online international seven-day SrimadBhagavatam reading marathon titled ‘Exit from Quarantine: Spiritual Victory in Seven Days.’ Devotees also took part in the readings and assisting with translating the lectures. The marathon was joined by thousands of participants all over the world. Many were inspired to continue to meet daily to read together. The RVS team also organised group visits to ISKCON-London for darshan during the Darshan Days.
