When children are educated, entire communites attain the knowledge and tools to break the cycle of proverty, for themselves and for future generations. But our education pillar extends beyond building and furnishing schools. We work with Minhaj Education Society to ensure our proejects are mainetained over the long term, to create progammming and initiatives to complement determined curriculum, and to commit to providing all students – boys and girls – with the best education possible.
For the 61 millioin primary school-aged children who aren’t in school, they cannot read or write. These children are out of school for a number of reasons: some of them, girls especially, are needed at home to help take care of siblings and collect water for their family’s use (miles away through conditions), others are engaded in child labour, some live too far from schools, while others cannot afford to pay for school fees.
