DAY 1 -Arrival

upon arrival you will be transferred to a hotel in negombo ­on this day you have a chance to do a little city tour including a visit to the fish market in Negombo . dinner and overnight stay in this sea side town watching over returning catamarans in the sea.

DAY 2 After breakfast leave to pinnawala elephant orphanage .this was originally founded in order to afford care and protection to the orphaned wild elephants.the visitors may admire about 60 elephants living within the orphanage.they can watch them bath in the near by river ,eat and play.

then proceed further to sigiriya where you will be spend the night in north central of the island. you will be visiting the sigiriya fortress in the afternoon which is closer by your accomodation

Visit the ruins of Anuradhapura ,once a wealthy monastic city,home to sacred bo tree-the branch under Gautama Buddha attained enlighten (oldest documentd tree in the world)and many great stupas,palaces and Buddhists statues of the ancient civilisaton we can arrange a cycle tour here

Largest and best preserved cave temple, the cave has served as a hiding place for king walagambahu in 1st century BC.many paintings of various periods to Buddha statues of kings and gods & goddess. After temple visit leave Kandy city on the way visit a spice garden in Matale need to pay for photo permit


cookery demonstration at the spice garden or with a local family can be arranged

DAY 6 this morning leave to Nuwaraeliya Tea Country after breakfast at the Hotel

you will reach the famous English retreat Nuwaraeliya (6182 feet above sea level)in the colonial time passing some lovely waterfalls


the cool calm climate,gorgeious rolling tea plantations.which makes the best "Ceylon tea" and the breath-taking waterfalls makes this town one of the most beautiful town in the world

what about spending a night in old tea factory ? we can also arrange a train ride from kandy to nuwaraeliya,one of the most scenic train journeys in the world.


while you are in Nuwaraeliya a visit to the famous Seetha Amman Hindu temple is a must to learn about multi faith socity of sri lanka

a temple of lord Rama,seetha devi ,luxushmana and hanuman built on the side of the water stream where seethe devi bathed.this is considered the prime location of hindu Ramayana trail.this place is worshipped by many thousands devotees around the globe

DAY 7 On this day you will be travelling down the hills to another vegetation zone yala. you will also come across another waterfall of the island ,Rawana Waterfall .the widest fall in the country .

Yala National park is the second largest sanctuary in srilanka.the park consists of 5 blocks ,only two are open for safari visit


park is also popular for wild elephants, spotted deers,sloth bears, wild buffalos and wild boars.more than 120 species of Birds living in this sanctuary as well

if you are more adventurous,camping by the sanctuary is also possible

DAY 8 It is time to drive down to the coastal area,the southern beaches of srilanka after your jungle breakfast in the camp
