President’s Report By Norm Olshansky After a very difficult 2020, we do have some good news. Vaccines are now available for individuals over 65. Even though the demand has outpaced the supply, we encourage residents to check out the Sarasota County Health Department website for details on how to get an appointment: http://Sarasota.floridahealth. gov . Manatee County Health Department is also offering vaccines to those who register on t hei r website, i ncludi ng Sarasotans. It’s obvious that snowbirds are back based on the traffic on Highway 41. We have lots of new residents who will not have the opportunity to enjoy our group activities as we have had in the past due to Covid restrictions. Hopefully, by the late Spring, we can resume our normal social events. LMA is con sider i ng ways to accelerate our roads work. We are in discussions with our engineering firm and hope to have an estimate of costs that will inform our decisions. We probably will not have details to consider for several months. A very good session was held by zoom with candidates and association Presidents. However, only about 2/3 of all Presidents participated. Please make sure your president votes on behalf of

your association. They have been provided ballots which need to be returned to LMA prior to the election. Following the elections on February 4th at 6:30 PM, the new board will elect officers. An orientation for the full board will take place on February 25th. There are still a few openings for committee chairs which will be appointed by the President following our February elections. The new hours for North and South gate closures has gone into effect. The North gate closes at 11 PM and the South gate at 10 PM. Both gates open at 6 AM. The Field Road gate lock is now installed. Check with security for the new entrance code. The Hearing Review Committee upheld the board’s suspension of a driver’s entrance/exit decal who had multiple speeding violations.
Several new tenants in The Landings shopping center are about to open. We hope you will patronize those businesses, especially the ones that advertise in the Eagle. Our website has lots of new postings and we encourage you to bookmark the site on your phone, tablets and computers for easy access. I know I use it regularly, to look up contact information in the directory and to check out new postings for vendor recommendations and
items for sale. Current and past issues of the Eagle can be accessed on our website as well as LMA documents and information for each association. Many associations have had annual meetings and elections over the past two months. If there are any changes to your board or management companies, please let us know so that we can update our association directory on t he web site a nd en su re proper communications to your Presidents about upcoming LMA issues and events. There were several letters to the editor in last month’s Eagle. We encourage community input. Editorials are not reviewed in advance by LMA , nor do they reflect the official positions of LMA, unless so indicated. Whether the content is accurate or not, they are printed. For example, this past month allegations were made in a letter about recommendations of the ENA Committee when there weren’t any recommendations made… only a summary of the survey results. I want to again compliment The Landings residents who have been diligent wearing masks and practicing social distancing. We have been fortunate that there have only been a few individuals who have tested positive for the virus within our community.

Vaccines are now available for people over 65 years old. Residents are encouraged to visit the Sarasota County website for details about how to get an appointment. The website address is sarasota.floridahealth.gov. • S ad to report many new residents will not have the opportunity to enjoy group activities and newcomer events. Hopefully, normal social events and activities will be able to be resumed by late spring. • Proposals to accelerate road work will be reviewed at this meeting. • February 25 has been scheduled for board orientation. • The placement of a memorial bench will be discussed. • Olshansky thanked everyone involved in the Children’s Holiday Foundation event last month. • Robert Tanner removed his name from consideration as a candidate for the LMA Board due to health concerns. There are now eight candidates for the six open positions. Board elections will take place at 7pm on February 4 followed by the new board election of officers for the coming year. • A few openings still exist for committee chairs to be appointed by the president. • The following gate closures are now in effect. The North Gate closes at 11pm and the South Gate at 10pm. Both reopen at 6am. • T he Field Road gate lock has been installed and can be used by bikers and walkers. Check with security for the new code. • The Hearings Review Committee upheld the board suspension of a driver’s decal for multiple speed violations. The continuous monitoring of speed limits is strictly enforced. • New Landings Shopping Center retail tenants will be opening soon. Residents are encouraged to patronize those businesses. • T he La nd i ng s web site i nc lude s many new postings. The website includes contact information, vending recommendations, issues of The Eagle newspaper, LMA documents and Association information and more. • Community input through letters to the editor are encouraged. Editorials are not reviewed in advance nor do they reflect official positions of the LMA unless noted. Regardless of whether the content is accurate or not, they are printed.
• Olshansky complimented residents diligently wearing masks and practicing social distancing. Only a few individuals have tested positive for the virus in the community.
FINANCE REPORT
timeframe the work should be completed. The committee is hopeful the engineering work will be done by May. Bayles will provide the board monthly progress reports.
MEMORIAL BENCH
Treasurer Dick Bayles reported on finances for the period ending November 2020. He expects to be within 3% of the budget by the end of the year. Two known drainage projects were not able to be started in 2020 so expenses for these projects will be paid in 2021.
A resident of Landing’s South III (LSIII) requested the board approve the placement of a memorial bench dedicated to past president Bert Frank. The bench would be placed on LSIII property, but it’s within the LMA right of way. It would sit opposite the Frank residence. A motion was made and passed unanimously.
MANAGERS REPORT
SAFETY AND SECURITY
Landing’s Manager Steve Brockenshire reported the following: • The landscaping contract for 2021 has been signed. A detailed schedule of landscaping work by the new contractor has been received. • The Nature Trail issues and projects are ongoing. A revised quote was requested from Greenscapes Landscaping after reducing the area and amount of stone needed. • Bids are still being solicited to do the needed Gazebo work. • S teve Brockenshire is working out a snag regarding phone calls he’s receiving that should be directed to Association property managers. • Vendor invoice issues are nearly ironed out. Their invoices are now being processed weekly.
BOARD ELECTIONS
Communications Chair Joan Koplin reported the board election will be conducted February 4 at the LMA Annual Meeting. A Zoom meeting to allow Association presidents to meet all the candidates is scheduled for January 14. A mandatory board orientation meeting is scheduled for February 25 for all board members.
FUTURE ROAD WORK EXPENSES
Treasurer Dick Bayles reported that before a financial plan could be developed to repave the remaining roads, a determination of how much it will cost must be established. The engineering work and a drainage study is a critical part of this process. Once a cost is determined, a priority and paving timeline can be done. A current loose estimate to re-pave the remaining roads is about $3.5 million. Once a more accurate estimate is known, options regarding a timeline can be discussed. The original plan scheduled roads be completely redone every 15-18 years. Based on that schedule, the roads still requiring work would be finished over the next eight years. According to Bayles, there is a body of opinion that says we can’t wait that long. The roads are either in serious need of repairs and/or they present a bad image. Once the cost is determined, a decision can be made about how quickly or over what
Chairman Michael Knupp reported serious concerns regarding an increase of speeding in The Landings. More than 40 warning letters have been issued in the last three weeks. Most violators are Landings residents. The committee urges residents to slow down as they approach walkers and bikers. Knupp stated, “At this rate, it’s only a question of time before we have a traffic accident.“ Walkers are encouraged to walk on the side of the road facing oncoming traffic and to walk single file as traffic approaches. They are reminded to wear light colored clothes and/or a reflective vest at night. Dr ivers a nd wa l kers shou ld note intersections where visibility is limited. These include Landings Boulevard at Landings Court, Landings Boulevard at both ends of Heron Way, and Kestral Park North at Pine Harrier. Tailgating through entrance gates continues to be a problem. Three gate arms were broken in December. A sign posted at gates warns everyone the gate arm is programmed to come down after each car. The Field Road gate lock has been installed and can be used by bikers and walkers. Check with security for the new code. As a security reminder, the committee asks to please lock your doors and close your garage door if you leave your residence. Forty-two garage doors were left open last month. Please never leave valuables or keys in your vehicles.
DRAINAGE
Co-Chairs Michael Knupp and Roger Kidder reported the ditch retaining wall off Landings Boulevard is failing. Repair is underway by Aquagenix and the quoted cost is $2,311. The drain project at the south end of Kestral Park Place has been completed. A driveway and front lawn at 5158 Kestral Park Terrace is collapsing where a sewer, water services and storm water system are located. It has been determined this is not a county problem. A video will be taken of the storm water line to determine repairs needed. An arborist will also be consulted to determine if the live oak tree can be saved.

Racquet Club News | LRC President’s Report At our January Annual Meeting, we reviewed the changes to our long-term plan dictated by new infrastructure repairs, notably repaving the south parking lot and extensive renovations to the Lakeside Room. These changes did not affect the portion of the annual assessment allocated to the plan, just the schedule. We rev iewed ou r COVIDrestricted operations and, while Sarasota isn’t a “hotspot,” the recent increase in cases does not currently warrant a loosening of restrictions. We continue to review this situation periodically. It is a balancing act between providing services to our members and protecting our generally more vulnerable population. A s t h e r e we r e t h e s a m e number of potential candidates as openings on the board that were up for election, no election was held and the composition of the board remains the same. However,

as I indicated a year ago, I stepped down as president and the board elected Mayson Brooks as the new president of The Landings Racquet Club, Inc. A little over 11 years ago, I was called to an impromptu board meeting in Lakeside. I had been unable to attend the prior meeting of the board. At this meeting, I was told that in spite of medical issues that might impact my ability to fulfill the job, I was going to be named the next president of the Club at the upcoming Annual Meeting scheduled for later in the month. The board rolled the dice on me and my health. At the time, I was fortunate that the prior president— Jim Goldman — had taken the bold step to significantly increase the assessment over the prior two years. This provided the opportunity for us to start the upgrades of the Club that took place over the next 10 years.
Without Jim, we would not have the Club we enjoy today. The composition of your board has changed continually over the past 11 years, but I want to thank Rudy Bloom and Nate Richards, who is no longer in the Landings, for their singular contributions as our facilities chairman and t reasurer a nd for bei ng the backbone of the effort to make substantial improvements to our physical plant between 2012 and
2017. Today’s board of directors remains committed to providing the best experience possible for our members and are all proven to be valuable contributors to the Club. After 12 years on the board and 11 years as your president, it’s time for me to turn over the reins of this position to Mayson
Brooks. Of all the positions I’ve held in The Landings, being LRC president has been by far the most rewarding and enjoyable one. It is one of the few jobs that can make real changes in our community. I’m certain that Mayson is as committed as I and the rest of your board are to your Club.

Thank you to all the members that have already paid their annual assessment. For the handful of you that haven’t gotten around to it yet, please note that late fees and interest will be added February 1st. I’d like to see everyone avoid that if possible. Please contact me in the Tennis Pro Shop at 9233886 if you have any questions regarding your annual assessment or your account in general. Even though life at the Club hasn’t quite gotten back to normal yet, the activity level has picked up recently. I encourage members to call in advance for their tennis court reservations regardless of what time of day they are playing. We all know the mornings are busy; however, with social play and routine maintenance, court availability can be at a premium in the afternoon, as well. Initially your goal is to learn and improve your technique and to teach your body parts to give you effective and efficient strokes. Then, you want to focus on your footwork, watching the ball and timing. Sometimes tennis footwork has been made too complicated. But to keep it simple, you are basically hopping and skipping (almost like jumping rope) in between strokes. Then, you just take adjustment steps to get into position, so you can use the technique you have learned. Watching the ball and timing should be your primary focus when you are playing competitive points. One of the best ways to watch the ball other than trying to see the ball spinning as it is coming toward you, is to try to hit the sweet spot. The only way to consistently hit the sweet spot is to really watch the ball all the way into your strings. Your eyes will not be able to see the ball hit the strings, but you can see the blur of the hit. As you know, when you hit the sweet spot it feels strong and solid and has a great sound but more importantly, it is one of your easy power sources. The collision of the ball and the strings on the sweet spot is like the ball hitting a trampoline. That is the best response with power

and control, that the ball can have coming off your strings. Timing involves you watching the ball so that you can know when to start your swing to strike the ball either cross court, down the middle or down the line. But this means that you have mastered your contact points that will make your ball go in those three basic directions. The Australian Open begins February 8th (main draw). When you watch, notice the players footwork and superior timing from watching the ball to consistently hit the ball in those three basic directions. See you on the court!

Attracting and saving butterflies By Barbara Rothman
The city of Venice, Florida has been named City of Monarch Butterflies. Nearby Spanish Point in Osprey has a new indoor butterfly ga rden plus a huge outdoor butterfly garden. If you would like to see more butterflies around your home, I suggest you plant milkweed and/or other caterpillar food plants plus nectar plants for the adult butterflies. If you need suggestions on plants to grow, call Barbara Rothman at 941-330-6564. I planted milkweed. A monarch butterfly found the plant, laid eggs which morphed into caterpillars. After a caterpillar had fattened
up on the milkweed leaves, he crawled up the steps to my door, and transformed into a chrysalis attached to my house near the front door! I photographed the changes daily in the chrysalis for a week, then was lucky enough to see the adult newly emerged, and tried to help this beauty to get its wings strong enough to fly. I can’t guarantee you will have an up close and personal experience like I did, but you will be helping to preserve some of our natural ecosystem’s beauties and have a great chance of seeing more butterflies.

Teen Scene By Heidi Bodor Troy Riesenberger, 17, remote learner senior at Pine View School Do you have any pets? We did but we just lost our black poodle. Do you speak any other languages? I took Spanish in high school. How long have you lived in The Landings? 3 years What do you like most about living in The Landings? I live close to my friend Tyler and being able to go over there is really great. I like the community. There are Christmas lights up and all the houses are decorated. It’s an interactive community.
Favorites: Ice Cream: Mint chocolate chip School subject: Economics because it’s interesting. I’m going to be majoring in PPE (philosophy, politics, and economics). Book: I read The Hatchett in 4th grade by Gary Paulsen and it’s always been my favorite. TV Show: Rick and Morty Sport: Rowing

Color: Light blue Movie: The Shawshank Redemption Song: Pursuit of Happiness by Kid Cudi Favorite Food: A nice burrito from Moe’s Least favorite food: I’m not a picky eater. I usually eat whatever is in front of me. Favorite place: On the water at crew or on the water anywhere Favorite thing to do: Hang out with my friends

What are three words that describe you? Humorous, hardworking, and compassionate Tell me about a recent trip that was fun. I’ve been pretty much hunkered down this year but last year, we took a cruise to Mexico for my Dad’s birthday. If you could change one thing in the world, what would you change? I’d make people care about other people more and just have everyone be kind. Of all the things you are learning, what do you think will be the most useful when you are older? I have learned that success is determined by yourself. You have to put in the hard work to prosper. If you just leave it up to fate, you’re not doing anything positive.
Enjoying the water with friends Dylan and Geoffrey
2nd place in men’s lightweight 8 Nationals 2019
What do you like doing in your spare time? I enjoy playing golf, fishing, and going out on a boat with friends. What would you like to be when you get older? I don’t know - maybe a lawyer or something in banking. I really have no idea. What are your college plans? I just found out a few days ago that I’m going to go to UPenn to study PPE and also row for the lightweight team. Outside of crew, what other things are you involved in? I worked on a family friend’s farm over the summer (I used to want to be a farmer). I was a landscaper and farm hand. I fixed fences, controlled the weeds, and cut down trees. How long have you been in crew? I started in 8th grade. I played football and baseball but I was bad so I quit. My friend Dylan rowed so I tried that and loved it. What crew awards have you won? I have won numerous state championships. My biggest accomplishment was getting 2nd place at Nationals in the men’s lightweight 8 in 2019. In 2020, we got first place in the men’s youth 8 virtual nationals. As a freshman, I also went to the Junior National Development Camp.

SEABAR *Modern Pacific Fare opens in Gulf Gate! In November Seabar opened its doors in the booming Gulf Gate Village district. Owners Mike Whalen and Casey Daniels opened their first restaurant venture Gulf Gate Food + Beer next door to Seabar in 2018 so they are no stranger to the neighborhood. Seabar draws a collective influence from the cultures of the Pacific Ocean while keeping a fresh local seafood driven focus. A unique & modern vibe will carry through your whole dining experience from start to finish. If you are stopping in for happy hour small plates and cocktails at the twenty seat U-Shaped bar or in for an intimate dining experience menus & décor are anything but ordinary. The menu was designed by Chef Anthony Petralia who has worked for the restaurant group since January. He started at Gulf Gate Food + Beer helping to fine tune some recipes and help organize an already busy kitchen. When Casey & Mike took over the restaurant next door, they put Chef Petralia in charge of developing the culinary concept for Seabar. He wanted to use fresh local seafood that he sources from local fisheries but still design the menu with ingredients and recipes inspired by the islands of the Pacific. An early favorite is the “kung pao octopus” which is served over Chinese black rice, broccolini, gochujang bbq, & served with a squid ink chip ($20). Another stand out are the “u-10 scallops” served with a Thai chile butter, farro, pickled fresno pepper, & thai basil ($28). For starters the “shokupan toast” which is home made Japanese milk bread with uni butter, mustard seed, and Asian pear jam ($7) & “grilled oysters” with kimchi mignonette, seaweed salad ($mp) have stolen the show. Happy hour is 4pm to 7pm seven days a week. Happy hour drink features are $7 classic cocktails, $5 sake bombs, $1 off craft drafts, & $6 Copper Ridge wines. There is also a happy hour snack menu featuring $1.50 grilled oysters (ea), $4 togarashi popcorn, $5 edamame hummus, $5 fish sticks, & $6 crispy calamari. Happy hour is not only featured at the bar but in the whole restaurant as well. Seabar is open seven days a week at 4pm until midnight during the week. On Friday & Saturday they stay open until 2am with a smaller late night menu after 11pm. Also be sure to check out ladies nights starting January on Thursday nights from 9pm to close. The feature is $5 craft cocktails & martinis for the ladies. So dress to impress! Advertorial

Pondering Puppy Parenthood? What You Need to Know By Kyle Baker, Senior Pet Food Nutritionist at DOGPerfect Welcoming a new dog into the family is exciting—but it’s no walk in the park. While it’s not quite on the level of bringing a new baby home, introducing a new pup to your world requires preparation. For starters, you’re going to need a lot of supplies. But, beyond that, you’ll also need a network of service providers that can help guide you and your dog toward a happy, healthy life together. Here are a few important considerations that can aid your transition to puppy parenthood.
Crates are Great
Puppy or adult canine, chances are your dog will have trouble getting acclimated to new surroundings. To help your pup adapt to your home we recommend a simple solution: a standard crate. It may sound a bit rudimentary, but a crate can perform lots of functions as your new dog’s place of refuge whether they need to sleep, relax, or just get away from it all. After pairing an appropriately sized crate with a cozy bed, take the comfort up a notch by adding a special friend from Snuggle Puppy. Featuring a lifelike heartbeat and a warming heat pack, a Snuggle Puppy can calm your dog and help them feel at home. Crates can also address other common early challenges. The confines can help prevent your new pup from wandering the house at night to bark at nocturnal critters roaming your neighborhood. Plus, crates can be a useful housetraining tool as dogs generally won’t eliminate waste where they sleep.
About the Bowl
What’s next? Well, they’ve got to eat, so you’ll need bowls for food and water. Once you’ve got those, there are a few folks who can help you figure out what to feed them. Ask your vet or get an assist from a knowledgeable employee or nutrition specialist at your local independent pet store. If you’ve brought home a puppy, keep in mind, they have different nutritional needs than adult dogs. Puppies require special formulations and extra nutrients to fuel growth, and they need to eat three times a day until they reach six months. To track this based on your pup’s age and weight, reference the charts found on most food labels. Additionally, goat’s milk can be used as a supplement to puppy food to increase hydration and boost probiotic intake. Containing protein, fatty acids, vitamins, and minerals, goat’s milk is highly nutritious, easier to digest than cow’s milk, and can be up to 20% of a puppy’s daily diet.
Let’s Get Moving
Unless you have a fenced-in backyard, you’ve got a lot of exercise to look forward to. Much like babies, puppies are very regular and you’ll need to get them outside for potty time at least a half dozen times daily. But, in addition to that, dogs need activity. To make sure your new dog is getting out and about enough, you’ll need
a few tools. First, a collar – if you’ve got a puppy, opt for an adjustable product that can grow with them. Next, you’ll need a leash long enough to let them move freely, but short enough that you can take greater control if needed. We recommend a traditional six-foot nylon or leather leash. Finally, if your new dog tends to pull a lot when leashed, you may want to consider a harness to prevent choking and trachea damage. Then there are toys. Puppies love to chew – it’s how they explore the world. But they also need to chew when teething to soothe sore gums. Do your shoes, couch, and sanity a favor and get your new pup a few chew toys to take the edge off. There are a lot of options, so ask your independent pet retailer for popular suggestions. While you’re at it, grab some plush and puzzle toys to provide your pup with much needed fun and mental stimulation.
Tap Into Your Network
Lastly, if you want to start things off right with your new dog, you should establish a network of pet resources early on. A good, local, independent pet store is the best place to
start your pet parent journey. There you can get everything mentioned above and some great recommendations for other resources like a vet, groomer, and pet sitter. As for those, you’ll want to make sure you contact options and add them to your network as soon as possible before your dog is sick, needs a haircut, or you’ve got to leave town on business. You’ll be glad you did. Getting a new dog requires a lot of work. Luckily for you and your pup, the tools and resources are easy to find. Start early and tap into your community to make sure you’ve made all the preparations so you can enjoy life with your new dog right away. One Scoop or Two?
It’s Ice Cream Time at The Landings Shopping Center By Jane Bartnett Big Olaf Creamery Ice Cream has opened at The Landings Shopping Center, at 4862 South Tamiami Trail. Steps away from Publix, the cheerful sweet shop, filled with 41 delectable flavors of ice cream and special treats to enjoy on-site, or to take home, can be found next to the brand new Triple Tail Seafood & Spirits restaurant. Visitors will find strawberry pink and chocolate ice cream cone shaped outdoor seating at the door. A bright yellow and white striped awning shades a colorful seating area on the side of the shop. Inside, Peter Morocz, a former chef who spent 11 years working at hotels and restaurants in the northern Italian province of South Tyrol, serves up ice cream sundaes, milkshakes, frozen yogurts, cake, small handmade cookies, along with generous scoops of rich ice cream. He and his wife, Eszti Bazso, who runs the couple’s second Big Olaf Creamery Ice Cream store at 3973 Cattlemen Road, next door to the Burlington Coat Factory store, are very excited about their two new shops. “I’ve always loved Big Olaf ice cream,” said Bazso, who is also an outdoor fitness instructor. “When we opened our stores, Peter created a wonderful Tiramisu Ice Cream Sundae that our customers love. Our Hot Fudge Mira Sundae, made with Kit Kat bars and named for our daughter, was his too,” she said. “And of course, our very special design your own Bubble Waffle Sundae was Peter’s idea, too! These fresh egg waffles have a custard-like taste that makes a delectable ice cream sundae cone. Pick your ice cream and we add fresh whipped cream and a topping. It’s just wonderful,” she said. Landings customers favorite flavor appears to be the Kahlua Krunch, made with Kahlua Ice Cream, Mocha chips and Chocolate and Mint flakes, Morocz reports. His own personal ice cream favorite is either Rocky Road or Brownie Fudge. “I do love chocolate,” he said. But with so many flavors to pick from, he noted, “there’s an ice cream flavor for everyone.” If you’re in the mood for a tropical taste treat try the Key Lime Pie, Orange Pineapple, Toasted Coconut, or Banana ice cream. “Of course, we also have the traditional Chocolate, Vanilla and Strawberry,” said the former chef. “They’re classic flavors that never go out of style.” If you’re feeling a bit “nutty,” he suggests Big Olaf Creamery Ice Cream in Amaretto Almond, Butter Pecan, Chocolate Almond, Maple Walnut,
Mocha Almond Fudge, Pistachio, Plantation Praline, Rocky Road, Royal Banana Crunch, Snickers and Spumoni. Kids, Morocz said, enjoy the Superman Birthday Cake ice cream; Trash Can - made with pieces of Oreo cookies, Chocolate, and peanut butter; Cookie Monster, and Cotton Candy ice cream flavors. “As you can tell by their names, they’re really made for children,” he said with a laugh, “but big kids can enjoy them too!” The Landings Big Olaf Creamery Ice Cream shop also welcomes children’s birthday groups. To book a children’s party email Eszti Bazso at: esztiii@hotmail.com. The store’s phone number is 941-539- 3939. Visit their website at: www.bigolafdream. Sugar-free ice cream in Butter Pecan is sold by the scoop. And, for those looking for a delicious lactose-free treat, try the Strawberry swirl made with a lactose-free Vanilla base and pure Strawberry. If a light and refreshing scoop of cool deliciousness is on your mind, the Watermelon Italian Ice and Mango Sorbet will bring back happy memories of summer picnics and tropical retreats. All of the Big Olaf Ice Cream ice cream sold at The Landings Shopping Center store is made at a small creamery in Sarasota’s Amish village of Pinecraft. Local Amish craftsmen hand mix the ice cream. Churned in batch freezers by local Amish Craftsmen, the ice cream’s “smooth, creamery consistency comes from two sources: attention to detail, and fresh, high butter fat (14%) milk,” the store’s website states. If you’re planning an at-home dinner and ice cream is on the menu for dessert, drop in and pick up a pre-packed pint-sized or half-gallon container to go. Select from Butter Pecan, Vanilla, Black Raspberry and Chocolate. Ice cream isn’t the only wonderful treat to be found at the new Landings Shopping Center store. Individually sized containers of delectable Tiramisu, the coffee-flavored Italian dessert, cake and edible, handmade mini-Marzipan cookies, are also sold here. Shaped into colorful small animal figurines, the Marzipan cookies are perfect for topping a birthday cake or for any other special occasion. Speaking of the couple’s new Big Olaf Creamery Ice Cream shops, Eszti said, “ice cream makes people happy and happiness is something that we can all use right now!”
The new Big Olaf Ice Creamery in The Landings Shopping Center is steps away from Publix and next door to the new Tripletail Seafood & Spirits restaurant.
