HISTORY

Better Silver’s story began in 1977 when an entrepreneurial young man called Romano Bettinardi began making silver chains in his garage in a village close to Vicenza, the heart of Italy’s jewelry-making industry.

Four decades on and Better Silver has become a world-class industrial powerhouse specializing in classic, innovative, and customized silver chains, finished jewelry designed around chains, and other precious components.

The second-generation Bettinardi family—Paolo (CEO), Andrea (COO) and Anna (Marketing Director)—is committed to upholding Romano’s values of family, ingenuity, and courage as they strive for continuous improvement.

Honoring the importance of sustainability, Better Silver acts responsibly and respectfully towards the environment, our employees, our local community, and all stakeholders who play a part in our story.

In 2017, Better Silver SpA became the first company in the silver jewelry sector to obtain SA8000 certification.

Since 2019, we have been a certified member of the RJC (Responsible Jewellery Council).

In 2020, our management team produced a sustainability report which set out our ethical vision for the business and which led to the creation of a Social Responsibility Management System in line with SA8000 and RJC COP standards.

In 2023, Better Silver obtained RJC COC, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 certifications.

SOLIDITY

Better Silver enjoys healthy financials due to good governance and sound management. We reinvest all profits back into the company, particularly in production and information technologies, to bolster our competitiveness.

Every year we voluntarily request EY to audit our financial statements and Modefinance to issue a public credit rating to reassure customers and financial institutions as to our solidity.

Better Silver is well capitalized, owns the silver metal used in production, and keeps stock of more than 80% of all chains sold, enabling us to respond quickly to your orders.
