Music POSTERS art SERIES
A personal passion project, my music poster series was promotional artwork that I created to help spread the word of some of my favorite music artists. The series was trying to explore themes and moods evoked through the music I was listening to at the time respective to each artist.
DESIGN APPROACH: Explore the body of work of each artist & their most recent works and try to create a composition that ties color & illustration with artist & sound.

Posters - Band Artwork
Music Series: Each piece in the series follows a character that that embodies the band. The mood, the themes, essentially the essence, all helped create and develop an environment and scene in which each character would inhabit the space. As I prefer a more trippy and psych vibe to my artwork, each piece incorporates in it such an element. Desert Comet Allah Las Apr 2019

BRANDING
FitWithHeba Logo I was contacted by lifestlye-influencer, Heba (a.k.a. @protein_babe), and was asked to design a logo for her website, cook book, and fitness guide. OBJECTIVE: Create a logo that incorporates vegetables and the idea of strength/ fitness into something simple and cohesive.
DESIGN APPROACH: As a lifestyle-influencer, Heba works primarily to educate the general public on the life-sustaining properties of food and how this ties into strength-training, primarily targeting the female demographic. My approach was to maintain an idea of strength and power, while maintaining a feminine aspect. Additionally, working off an initial sketch, I wanted to stay true as possible to her original concept while providing different alternatives that shoot in slightly different directions.

ITERATIONS The logo went through several iterations. & color schemes. However, I would probably say it underwent 3 main stages of change. The first iterations tried to work off the initial sketch that Heba sent to me. The 2nd batch of iterations tried to work around a more simple typographic design. The 3rd batch tried something completely different taking into account main themes and color preferences. After these 3 stages it provided enough material to formulate a final design the client loved.

Finalized Logo The final logo takes the main themes & visual styles preferred by the client and simplifies it into one cohesive design. The design is cleaned up by adding a border to make it stand out against any background. Additionally, by also adding a gloss shine, the reflected light helps bring everything together and gives it a slightly sleeker & elegant appearance.

Pabst Blue Ribbon Can Art Contest
OBJECTIVE: Create a cool, eye-catching design that brings attention to the PBR brand.
DESIGN APPROACH: Although the contest allowed submissions for a can, bottle, and animation, my main focus was on the can design. I figured a centralized abstract piece that brings attention towards the top of the can while blooming outward.

RENDERINGS
As a way of visualizing if the design looked as intended, I created some visual renders to help properly represent the design. Although the submitted design was intended for can labeling, I went ahead and rendered a bottle design as well, in order to get a complete sense from a full product set.

GRAPHICS
STUDIO SUPER PUNCH Studio Super Punch is the name given to a design group that I started with my partner. Our intention was to create artwork that would later be transformed into merchandise which we would sell. Our initial project was screenprinting some original designs and making apparel to sell. The entire production consisted of creating a home-studio and screenprinting with our own DIY equipment. The project included some simple promotional animation to present each design, along with some promotional sticker sets.

FEATURE DESIGNS: As we were learning to screenprint, my partner and I focused our efforts promoting our first main 3 designs. They were the foundation of the mood we wanted to capture in our brand.

HOUSTON MINI MURALS Mini Murals is an award-winning project run by UP ART studio that reimagines traffic signal control cabinets as an opportunity for local artists to create civic art to help instill a sense of civic pride in local neighborhoods while enhancing the urban landscape. My submission “Variegated Sense of time“ was accepted by the art committee and allowed me to join the Mini-Murals artist pool. Allowing me to have the opportunity to create future art as part of the studio whenever new locations are secured or commissioned by sponsors.

STRONG GIRLS art series
The Strong Girls series was a series that happened to occur spontaneously. Initially, it was a thanks to a fitness influencer that I really enjoyed following. It grew to include more influencers at the time, commissioning works not only for influencers but also for social media followers who wanted a commissioned work for themselves. The project was an attempt to celebrate the many passionate strong women working to show how all women are strong, healthy, intelligent, and beautiful. : Something that I believe all women, and people in general, need to be reminded of every day.
