project description
Located at the northern edge of the village, this project arose from a desire to revitalise a large space that was in disuse, but nevertheless had lots of possibilities. The project is composed of different buildings that meet different needs: a housing programme and an enclosed area with two swimming pools, one open-air pool and an indoor pool. The housing programme includes 12 terraced houses and a building with an exterior side-hallway. For its part, the indoor pool area includes a small cafe and the outdoor pool a restaurant. The project’s urban plan mantains the continuity of the village streetscape by not interrupting the connection between the village and the canal.

project description
This is a mixed-use project located in the city expansion, specifically in the common courtyard of a block. It is composed of a shopping mall and a residential building. The irregular shape of the outline of the mall breaks the rectilinear shape of its surroundings, and creates a central open-air space. This landscaped, park-like area offers a relaxing feeling under the shade of trees. It is designed as a meeting point between the grid of the city expansion and a green space. The shopping mall is spread over two floors and includes a large multipurpose space. The residential building is designed to provide flexible housing. It is adaptable in terms of use of space providing each flat with sliding walls and also adaptable in terms of length of stay, providing for shortterm and long term leases.

/// Rural surroundings: We first did an approach with the project programme in a rural surrounding with an appreciable slope. The steep topography meant that the building remained half-buried. /// Urban surroundings: We moved the same programme to an urban surrounding. The first decision taken was to create a central courtyard that would organize the structure of the building and would allow natural light into all parts of the building.
2 Hotel UniversitĂŠ
Hotel UniversitĂŠ, born out of the necessity to provide the neighbourhood near the campus with a youth hostel. The hotel is built between two main streets that organize the campus, on a smallholding that is mainly protected by leafy trees. One of the main objectives was to be respectful of the pre-existing vegetation, the surroundings, and the proportions of the adjacent buildings. The building is organized longitudinally and made up of two main rectangles. A vertical hollow channels natural light into the building and the common spaces. The rooms are situated in the rectangle that looks out to the lush park. All the rooms are also designed in such a way that, from the moment you open the door, you can see the park in the background.

project description
This project is carried out in three different ways, all of them are based in an innovative way of working in a collaborative space where different companies or individual workers are established. The aim of this project is to break up the traditional design of an office, to create an open-space where all the activities are mixed and related to each other, an office without any assigned workstation where workers move around and work anywhere that inspires them within the premises. The flexibility of the space creates a friendly mixed-use environment with fewer interruptions to ongoing activities. The project also ensures private spaces with some cubicles and studios made of glass-walls.
1 Extensive programme
Extensive programme: 13,000 m2 smallholding /// Ground Floor +1 This first exercise is carried out mainly on the ground floor. The building has a cross-shaped floor in order to provide natural lighting to the whole interior space and in this way create a pleasant space for work.
2 Semi-Extensive programme
Semi-extensive programme: 10,000 m2 smallholding /// Ground Floor + 3 In this case the project is carried out on four floors. At ground level we can find the common spaces in the form of conference rooms, administration offices, and a restaurant. The work space is located on the upper floors.
3 Intensive programme
Intensive programme: 6,000 m2 smallholding /// Ground Floor + 4 This project is composed of two rectangles. At the intersection of the rectangles are located the stairs that connect all parts of the building. The brise-soleil designed for the faรงades allows for the control of entry of light.

project description
This project arises from the desire to give a new use to an abandoned building in very bad condition. The project aims to recover the original design of a traditional building in Valencia -alquerĂa- enhancing its character and architectural tradition. The interventions developed in the project are divided into two parts: first into operations affecting the building as it is and its representative quality, and second, into operations focused on a new use of the building, in this particular case, a restaurant. The rehabilitation seeks to fully respect the architectural and spatial design of the existing building and its surroundings.
Competition - This was an interesting collaboration with the artist Georges Rousse, who was responsible for designing the continuous painted bands, which can be viewed from one point of view. Located between Avenue de France and Promenade Claude Levi-Strauss, this mixed use project is made up of shops on the ground floor, offices on the first level and 90 flats between levels 2 y 11. The project is built above a metro station and has an area of 1560 m2.
This competition, sponsored by Paris Habitat, was for a housing project located at 32-32bis, rue des 3 Frères à Paris XVIIIe. This project is integrated in the emblematic Parisian neighbourhood of Montmartre. It is a reconstruction of a building in very bad condition, consisting of 14 flats and two shops. One of the main ideas was to recreate the original building in light-grey concrete, respecting the original facade and integrating new design elements.

project description
Coworking Pinedo incorporates the new concept of open-space offices. As a unique element of this project, we emphasise the curved green roof that tries to reproduce the organic shape of the natural area that can be seen nearby. This roof produces variable sections that allow the creation of different working environments. One of the purposes of this green-roof was to integrate the building in its surroundings, trying to cause the lowest environmental impact possible. The interior of the building is also organized with an organic curve that allows for dynamic access to the different parts of the building.
