The Beguinage is a housing complex which was created to house women who dedicated their lives for God without retiring from the world, those women were called “beguins. In the 13th century the beguins founded the beguinage , enclosed communities that were designed to meet their spiritual and material needs. A beguinage is usually composed of houses, a church, ancillary buildings and a big green space that centers the complex and buildings join and connect around
My main concept was to show how the beguins went from a place that lacks a sense of belonging, to a space where they are able to be their whole selves. By walking through six rooms distrubuted amoung three floors, the user passes through a journey of self discovery. The scenography was ispired by the writings St.Teresa of Avilia about the seach of the inner fire whithin your soul.
The building itself is a museum/ Information center of the journey and lives of the beguines and the beguinage of Antwerp.

TEMPORARY ELEMENTS
What I did was that I’ve reintroduced the second half of the building that was once part of the original house to the other side while keeping part of the wall as a symbol of the separation that once happened in this space, and added a scaffolding system as the main core of the building symbolising the construction of self discovery.

While working with MetaphorM Architects I had the chance to work on the concept and design stages of a residential villa in Naour, Amman. The clients wanted to utilize the garden for their own benifit which gave us the idea to flip the traditional layout placing the guest room on the upper floor while having the living room and bedrooms on the lower floor. the slope of the plot worked in our favour creating an indoor/ outdoor experience with the northern glass facade the emphesizes the link.
2019 - Urban Public Space -UHasselt
Invading the Invisible line The main idea of the project is to create a space that encourages the two social classes of Amman to interact and get together. After studying the division of the city and its lack of green public spaces, I chose a 2000-year-old Roman Nymphaeum as my site for its central location in Downtown Amman and its historical importance. After many years of decaying and robberies, the site itself was left in such a poor condition. Even after the recent restoration in 2015, the nymphaeum still felt out of context within the clustered dense area surrounding it, with a heavy traffic flow in the surrounding streets. Making the nymphaeum unnoticeable, foreign from its neighbors with an undefined function.

My aim was to create an awareness to forgotten ruin (Nymphaeum of Amman) while using its courtyard that was created by the surrounding buildings as a green gathering spaces and the front space as a cafe/bar as part of the commercial strip that it sits on, while using the ruin itself as an extension to the bridge that is connecting the site with the nearby farmers' market on the opposite side of the street.
SECTIONS
Creating a connection between the Nymphaeum and it’s surrounding by errecting a bridge in the place that the orignal structure sat in, between the site and the neighbouring farmer’s market making it less foreign to it’s adjesent buildings.
Having the busier functions on the outer edge of the nymphaeum, while keeping the core as a quite green space, as a symbol of the relaxing clam space that once this Nymphaeum was.

2017 - Women`s Empowerment Center -GJU
" ﻓﺮﺻﺔFursa" is a women's opportunity center located in the heart of Amman. The project consists of a (Polical/Cultural
Saloon),a (day/night) school for adult women, library, bazaar and a public space with shops & cafes to revive the Omar Al Khayyam Street.
EXISTING
The aim of the project was To create a space where women are able to parcipate in serious topics, to gain knowledge, experience and educaon in order to benefit the local community and the economy regardless of their social status and economic situaon. All 4 buildings were joined together either through Internal or external connecons and were given a direct connecon with the street.
PROPOSED
Conceptual drawings showcasing the quality of spaces in the project.
I was inspired from Omar Al-Khayyam Street when choosing the colour pallete (Gray, Beige and Copper as the dominant colours). And materials used( concrete, Metal, Wood), and how they join with each other.

My design strategy was to emphasize communicaon and transion between spaces. And how to combine all five funcons into a single interconnected project. I wanted my spaces to be a reflecon of the current architecture and embrace it rather than hiding it.

2015 - Boutique Hotel Reuse -GJU
This project is an adapve reuse project for a building in Jabal Amman named Strand which was a hotel/bar 20 years ago. The aim of my design to let the community of Jabal Amman take an acve part in this hotel. i wanted my hotel to act as a community center and i wanted the visitors to experience the Jordanian community.
PLANS
I started thinking about what i like most about the community of Amman which is portrayed in the posters, aer analyzing these posters I came up with a sketch model that i put in the site, and that made me understand the distribuon of spaces in the site. Then, I came up with the design that consists of few boxes connected together in the sketch model, Represenng the way the community is connected together. these boxes are the rooms of the hotel and the connecon is the bridge that link between the rooms.

Because the budget of Jabal Amman's cizens does not allow them to enjoy and experience public spaces such as this hotel. Therefore, I made the rooop a place where the community could use and be entertained in. hence, i built a cafeteria , a miniature basketball court and sing areas with fire pits in the center so people sit and spend their me there, for a small amount of money. What helped strengthen my concept is the old structure of the building that had to be demolished. Because, i could build flouting rooms using cables. therefore, when you first enter the hotel you will see how the rooms are connected together by bridges, cables, plumbing and neon lights. Also, the 3 buildings of the site are connected by bridges. Just like the connecon between community members.

Requirements: Built up area between 80 and 100 squared meters in a 8m*8m*6m Space with a program of a kitchen, dining space, living space, bedroom and a bathroom . and this program was distributed in an open space with each on a separate level, and by this i achieved the privacy and emphasized each part. I’ve used the contrast between striking dark red on the ceilings and the dull concrete finish on the walls to showcase this idea.

2014 - University Campus Landscape Design -GJU
NORTH ELEVATION We were asked to redesign the landscape surrounding building B in GJU’s campus in Madaba. This Design was based on low water consumpon and minimal coasts, we used local vegetaon and efficient ground covers. The Design includes a small resng area for studying and large gathering area for student acvies. We ulized the building’s exisng linear form as a linear structure to create a similar grid for the landscape.

2015 - Adaptable Mesh Design -GJU

This is an installaon that studies the materials behavior, its a mesh that coats a flexible structure which is a combinaon of the intersecon of two square grids forming a triangular one. The mesh is organic, stable, adapve and malleable, while the triangle structure is less malleable and flexible in shape. we've studied the mesh’s behavior and smulated it on grasshopper.
