“These amazing four years were full of life lessons, trials, and memories. I would not have traded these four years for anything. Ursuline has shaped me to become an independent, informed, and driven leader. I will never forget the lessons that Ursuline has taught me.”
“Ursuline academics provide girls with the opportunity to find the courses that best fit their work ethic, but also challenge girls to expand their skill set. I have taken classes that have pushed me beyond what I thought was possible of myself, and I ended up growing as a student.”
“In each class I took at Ursuline, teachers addressed controversial and important global issues. I was given the chance to form an opinion of my own about these issues and learned how to justify each of my opinions. I was also able to travel with Ursuline, which exposed me to global issues first-hand.”
Ursuline Academy of Dallas – Educating Global Leaders
Spiritual Formation and Serviam, “I Will Serve”
Ursuline students engage in a variety of transformative experiences which help them grow in global competence. As they get to know and touch the realities of other cultures, they gain new appreciation for different perspectives and a better understanding of what it means to be a citizen of the world. They also have the opportunity to share a unique sisterhood with students around the globe. Educational and cultural exchanges take place each year with sister schools in Australia, Brazil, Chile, China, England, France, Peru, South Africa, Taiwan, and Wilmington, Delaware. Mission trips and global studies opportunities are also offered.
Ursuline education is rooted in the belief that spiritual life is to be nurtured and developed. Students discover the possibilities that faith in Jesus Christ offers through an array of curricular and extracurricular activities including Theology studies, integration of Catholic social teachings in coursework, annual retreats, school-wide liturgies, student-led prayer services, and daily prayer. All Ursuline schools share a commitment to forming students as servant leaders. In the spirit of Serviam, (Latin for “I will Serve”), students and alumnae reach out to society through service projects initiated by students and service learning incorporated into classroom instruction.

“All of my classes challenged me to grow intellectually and pushed me out of my comfort zone...All my teachers cared about each one of their students and were always available for help in and outside of class. I believe I will be very well prepared for my college career because of Ursuline.”
“An all-girls education provides students with an environment that nurtures individuality and cultivates a culture of encouragement. My experience at Ursuline has enhanced my confidence…and has left me acutely aware of my personal impact on my community and those around me.”
“Serviam means serving others without desiring fame or reward. It is asking “What can I do to help?” regardless of where I am or what I am doing. This question can be answered by being a leader, stepping up and guiding others…and by being a listener, taking the time to hear people out and consider new ideas.”
