This year, Ursuline Academy celebrates 148 years of educating the young women of Dallas. Many of these young women would not have had the opportunity for an Ursuline education without scholarship assistance. We are truly blessed with the joyeux and creative leadership of our wonderful 2022 Event Chairs, Tara Walsh and Megan Thornton, and the many volunteers and underwriters who have given so generously to make these events possible. A celebration of Ursuline’s history and mission began in 1874 when six Sisters opened their small cottage as a school for six young girls. From those first students to today’s 870: a story of continuous growth and blessing! Mardi Gras is Ursuline’s main avenue for raising money for girls who dream of UA, but whose family finances thwart that dream. As longtime friends and mothers, we are passionate about the Mardi Gras mission to provide an exemplary Catholic education for young women who might not otherwise have the opportunity. La Fête offers ways for all members of our Ursuline community to engage in experiences to help fund scholarships. We believe in working to empower our next generation of female leaders. In the true spirit of Serviam, we are honored to lead this effort for deserving students and look forward to your support.

We would like to give special thanks to Gretchen Kane, Kathie Wood, Jada Stotts, and Beth Arsenault for their leadership, support, and guidance. Our incredible committee chairs shared their time and talents to bring our vision to life as we experienced Mardi Gras 2022.
