Respiratory Therapy
Respiratory therapists (RT) assess, treat, and provide care for patients in need of respiratory assistance resulting from acute or chronic conditions. You will be taught in state-of-the-art simulation labs and numerous clinical settings to provide therapies ranging from simple breathing treatments to various life support needs. You will learn to operate and monitor critical life support equipment to treat patients.
Physical Therapist Assistant
Knowledgeable instructors will teach you how to be a successful physical therapist assistant through personal hands-on experiences. Under the direction and supervision of a physical therapist, you will implement components of patient care and improve quality of life through prescribed exercise, patient education, pain management, restoration of function, and the prevention of disability.
Health Occupations
Occupational Therapy Assistant
Occupational therapy assistants help patients of all ages and physical abilities develop the skills they need to provide self-care, to live independently, and adapt to different living environments. You will learn how to adapt living environments to the needs of patients, understand the psychological implications of certain conditions, and develop the skills to provide meaningful care.
Practical Nursing (LPN)
Through hands-on nursing experience and individualized support in three semesters, you will learn a foundation of nursing education that paves the way to earning an associate degree in registered nursing (ADRN) and beyond. You will acquire the knowledge and skills to prepare for the national practical nurse licensure exam and establish a career as a licensed practical nurse (LPN).
Associate Degree Registered Nursing
After becoming a licensed practical nurse, this 11-month program path provides you with the eligibility to sit for the RN licensure examination and creates a clear path to obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree. You will learn from innovative instructors in hands-on classroom experiences and gain real world experience in laboratory and clinical settings in order to better prepare to care for your future patients.
Veteran to Nurse
This program is an extension of the already-existing practical nursing program that recognizes and awards credit for previous healthcare knowledge and experience gained by military veterans. This unique veteran-friendly based curriculum will help accelerate your progress to a nursing credential.

Medical Coding
Medical coding specialists are skilled in classifying and coding medical data from patients records. Through this program instructors will teach you how coded data is utilized to obtain reimbursement, research, and explore new interventions for patients. You will have the opportunity to sit for the certified coding specialist (CCS) credential.
Health Information Technology
Learn how health information professionals ensure the quality of medical/health records by verifying their completeness, accuracy, and properly maintain components of health information systems. You will be responsible for maintaining, compiling and reporting health information data for reimbursement, facility planning, marketing, risk management, utilization management, and quality assessment.
Medical Assisting
Experience hands-on opportunities in a variety of areas such as orthopedics, cardiology, pediatrics, and more through the medical assisting program. You will learn from expert instructors the skills to give injections, take vitals, help physicians examine patients, draw blood, perform routine medical tests, and manage medical office duties. Your versatility will be a benefit to your healthcare facility.
Pharmacy Technology
A pharmacy technician assists a licensed and registered pharmacist with the preparation of prescription medications, maintains patient records, and keeps medications stocked and organized. You will learn the basic understanding of pharmacy law and ethics, aseptic technique in sterile and non-sterile compounding, and the therapeutic classification and use of the top 200 prescription drugs.
Accounting Technology
Engage with skilled instructors to learn how accounting technicians perform a combination of calculating, posting and verifying duties involving financial data using spreadsheets. These skills will provide you with the ability to oversee account transactions, prepare financial statements, and process payroll.
Administrative Management Technology
Administrative professionals manage and maintain all aspects of an office environment in a variety of different professional settings. You will have the opportunity to learn extensive software training skills in Microsoft programs as well as interpersonal, coordination, and project development skills.
Cloud Computing
Cloud technologies help businesses and institutions rapidly develop and deliver a wide variety of cloud-based services and technologies. Specifically, this program relies on the Amazon AWS Academy curriculum to prepare you as a student to acquire AWS Cloud computing skills through hands-on practical experience.
Cosmetology
As a cosmetologist student you will be taught by experienced instructors to perform a variety of beauty services which cover all phases of the beauty culture such as manicuring, shampooing, hair styling, color treatments and various skin and scalp treatments. You will receive hands-on real client experiences in a recently renovated state-of-the-art cosmetology studio space.
Early Childhood Care and Education
Early childhood care educators specialize in the learning, development, social, and physical needs of young children. You will learn how to provide a safe and comfortable environment in which young children can learn early academics, social, motor, and adaptive skills. You will learn early childhood education, theory, and application in a hands-on practical environment where your passion for the development of young children can flourish.
Hospitality Management
Hospitality management was created in response to the growing demand for skilled workers in the entertainment services trade. You will recieve training from hospitality professionals with industry knowledge about event marketing, food and beverage, customer services, human resources, team building and management. Paralegal Studies
Paralegals can be employed by a lawyer, law office, corporation, or governmental agency and performs tasks that require knowledge of the law and legal procedures. Small Business Technology
Interactive instructors will help you to manage and maintain all aspects of your potential self-owned business. Your completed application for admission to the university serves as your “scholarship application” for these scholarships.
You must be a New Incoming First Time Idaho Resident AND a graduate of an Idaho high school (or equivalent) to be eligible for these awards. ACT or SAT scores required for Idaho Residents who are homeshooled and for students from non-accredited high schools.
Apply by June 1 for fall semester or November 1 for the spring semester to be eligible for this scholarship.
