Sono passati pochi anni dall’inizio del nuovo millen-
nio, siamo ormai alle porte nel 2010 e così mi sono guardato indietro per capire cosa fosse stato fatto fino ad ora nella moda e nel design più evoluto. Sicuramente è stato fatto molto, è stato inventato e realizzato quello che fino a pochi anni fa sembrava inimmaginabile, eppure si continua ancora a pensare al futuro e a proporre nuove idee e nuove collezioni. E’ per questo che ho cominciato a pensare a come creare un nuovo modo di concepire moda, più legato alla tecnologia, senza tralasciare il design italiano, la storia e la ricerca di materiali. Ripensando alle origini della moda ed in particolare della moda italiana, ho raccolto le idee tornando alle nostre radici ma con uno sguardo attento alla modernità. E’ così che è nata questa collezione, la prima che coniuga passato e futuro.
Just a few years have passed since the dawn of
the new millennium; now that we are on the threshold of 2010, I look back to try and take stock of what exactly has been achieved so far in the most evolved areas of fashion and design. There’s no doubt that a great deal has been done; what up to a few years ago appeared unimaginable has been invented and created. And yet we still go on looking to the future, continuing to propose new ideas and new collections. This is why I began to think of a new way of conceiving fashion, more closely linked to technology but without neglecting Italian design and the history and research of the materials. Thinking back to the origins of fashion, and especially Italian fashion, I focused my ideas on a return to roots, but with a watchful eye on the modern. This is how this collection came into being, the first one that brings past and future together.
