NEW RULES FOR GROUPS VISITING ST. MARK’S CATHEDRAL IN VENICE Dear Ladies and Gentlemen, Since 1st April 2010 there are new rules for the guided visits of the St. Mark’s Cathedral in Venice. Due to these new rules, each visitor, who is visiting the Church with a guided group and entering the Church through the entrance for groups has to pay € 1,00. Who is not willing to pay for the entrance can also queue up to enter the Church through the normal entrance. Unfortunately during a guided tour there is usually no time to wait so much in a queue and therefore queuing up is not recommended. The guides will then ask at the beginning of the guided service whether the group wants to enter St. Mark’s Cathedral, and pay € 1,00, or not. If the group does want to visit it, the guide will collect the money needed from everybody. If the group decides against entering the Church as a group, the guide will give all the important and relevant information in front of the Church and those who want to visit it, can do so during their free time. If you have any questions or need any further information, please do not hesitate to contact us. Yours sincerely, Giulia Cremonese nord@gadis.it Tel. +39 0183 548510 Fax +39 0183 548222
