STORY Sitap is a family business in which passion, innovation and tradition have been the driving force for over sixty years. It was 1955 when Mario Bosoni, a bright businessman from Piacenza, in the province of Piacenza, decided to make his way into the furniture trade, specializing in the production of natural-fibre carpeting and the sale of modern-design carpets. From this experience, in 1993 came Sitap. In 2011, Gian Mario Bosoni stepped into his father’s tracks to guide the company towards a new season of success. In 2014 he was joined by his wife Barbara Trombatore, who manages the Centro Stile and is the creative force behind the project. Under Gian Mario’s direction, Sitap revolutionized its image and vocation, growing into a point of Italian excellence in the world of carpets. INSPIRATION Sitap‘s collections draw inspiration from high fashion creations: just like the latest creations paraded on runways around the world, our carpets are renewed every season, allowing countless combinations of patterns, colours and materials under the mark of Italian elegance.
CUSTOM-MADE A carpet is like a tailored suit: it has to be a perfect fit. That’s why Sitap makes custom-made carpets, guiding each customer in the choice of patterns and materials best suited to their style and needs. Customers can then get their own unique carpets that are the ideal complement to their homes. CONTRACT Sitap’s Contract Division develops customized solutions for business companies, hotels, offices, architects and interior designers. The Centro Stile can provide specifically made materials and designs. Just like a business card, a carpet reflects the identity of a setting and contributes to create a warm, refined atmosphere in any room.

STORIA Sitap è un’azienda familiare in cui passione, ricerca e tradizione si rinnovano ogni giorno da oltre sessant’anni. È il 1955 quando Mario Bosoni, abile imprenditore di Piacenza, entra nel mercato dell’arredamento specializzandosi nella produzione di moquette in fibra naturale e nel commercio di tappeti di design contemporaneo. Dalla sua esperienza, nel 1993, nasce Sitap. Nel 2011, Gian Mario Bosoni segue le orme del padre per guidare l’azienda verso una nuova stagione di successi. Al suo fianco, dal 2014, la moglie Barbara Trombatore, responsabile del Centro Stile e anima creativa del progetto. Sotto la sua direzione, l’azienda rinnova radicalmente immagine e vocazione, trasformandosi in un’eccellenza italiana nel mondo del tappeto. ISPIRAZIONE Le collezioni Sitap s‘ispirano alle creazioni dell’alta moda: come gli abiti che sfilano sulle passerelle di tutto il mondo, così i nostri tappeti si rinnovano di stagione in stagione, dando vita a infinite combinazioni di fantasie, colori e materiali nel segno dell’eleganza made in Italy. SU MISURA Un tappeto è come un abito sartoriale: deve calzare a pennello. Per questo, Sitap realizza tappeti su misura, guidando ogni cliente alla scelta della fantasia e del materiale più adatto al proprio stile e alle proprie esigenze. Nascono così dei veri e propri pezzi unici, per “vestire” alla perfezione ogni casa. CONTRACT La divisione Contract di Sitap studia soluzioni personalizzate per aziende, alberghi, uffici, studi di architettura e di interior design. Il Centro Stile è in grado di proporre materiali e disegni realizzati ad hoc. Come un biglietto da visita, ogni tappeto rispecchia l’identità di un luogo e contribuisce a creare un’atmosfera accogliente e raffinata in ogni ambiente.

“Poter camminare sui propri sogni. Tutto nasce da qui e dalle mie grandi passioni: l’arte, che fin da piccola ha sempre fatto parte della mia vita, e la moda italiana, che con le sue tendenze, colori e tessuti accende le passerelle di tutto il mondo e muove la mia fantasia. Poi un passo nel mondo, tra cinema, pittura, fotografia, natura, paesaggi urbani, ricordi, visioni, suggestioni, per ricercare quell'ideale di bellezza che muove tutti i miei passi. Volevo davvero passeggiare su un'emozione. È così che ho creato il Centro Stile di Sitap, un autentico laboratorio stilistico per tappeti dove, insieme a un gruppo di giovani designer italiani, trasformo ispirazioni, forme, colori e filati in nuove opere di design.

Sala da pranzo Per la sala da pranzo, o l’area del soggiorno dove è presente il tavolo da pranzo, la regola di base prevede che il tappeto debba essere almeno 70 cm più lungo del tavolo, per riuscire a spostare comodamente le sedie senza rimanere sul bordo del tappeto, ed essere centrato sotto il tavolo.

Per quanto riguarda i comodini, potete scegliere a seconda dei vostri gusti se posizionarli sul tappeto o meno. La seconda possibilità prevede di posizionare un tappeto ai piedi del letto, che naturalmente abbia la sua stessa larghezza per un risultato armonioso, magari aggiungendo due tappeti scendiletto in coordinato.

The pile yarn of this carpet is viscose 100%, a particularly shiny and soft fibre made of viscose. It is normal for fluff to appear on the surface of the rug owing to the natural shedding of pile. These excess fibers can be progressively eliminated by regular vacuum cleaning.

The pile yarn of this carpet is viscose 100%, a particularly shiny and soft fibre made of viscose. It is normal for fluff to appear on the surface of the rug owing to the natural shedding of pile. These excess fibers can be progressively eliminated by regular vacuum cleaning.

N OT E I M P O R TA N T I Le fotografie dei tappeti sono esemplificative dei colori. Pur essendo il più possibile simili ai tappeti originali possono presentare differenze cromatiche, sia a causa della stampa in quadricromia, sia per l’effetto della rifrazione della luce sui filati cangianti , sia per l’artigianalità della tintura fatta a mano che potrebbe variare da un bagno di colore all’altro. Durante le prime settimane il tappeto tenderà a perdere alcune fibre dovute al normale spoglio della felpa, residuo della rasatura finale (fenomeno ancora più accentuato e più lungo per i tappeti a pelo lungo e voluminoso). Questi residui possono essere facilmente eliminati utilizzando un semplice aspirapolvere che non abbia un’azione troppo abrasiva sul tappeto. Non utilizzare mai battitappeto. Le macchie devono essere trattate immediatamente. Il 90% di esse può essere rimosso con acqua minerale gassata tamponando con un panno di cotone o carta da cucina, senza tuttavia sfregare. Qualora si trattasse di macchia ostinata è possibile intervenire anche con sapone neutro non aggressivo, ma per un lavaggio a fondo è sempre bene rivolgersi a lavanderie professionali. Se sporge un filato non strappatelo, ma tagliatelo con delle piccole forbici. Arrotolate sempre i vostri tappeti quando volete riporli, senza piegarli mai.
I M P O R TA N T N OT E S The catalogue photo, though being as similar as possible to the original carpets, can sometimes present slight differences in shade, due to both the four-colour printing, and light effect on iridescent yarns, and different batches of yarns given by the handmade dyeing. Some fibres may become detached from the carpet for a few weeks after the installation. This is due to a normal plush shedding. (for high pile voluminous carpets the phenomenon is more accentuated and lasts longer). These excess fibres can be removed by vacuuming. It is important not to use brushes or carpet sweepers. Stain must be treated immediately. The 90% can be removed blotting with a cotton rug or paper towel and sparkling water without rubbing it. If the stain is tough, you can use also neutral soap; for a deep cleaning you should address to a professional laundry. If a yarn loop pulls out don’t tear it, just cut it with tiny scissors. When you want store your carpet, don’t fold it but just roll it.
