Culinary Discovery Tour s w ith Chef Kelly
With the recent launch of Riviera, Oceania Cruises further enhanced its groundbreaking culinary enrichment programme. Since her debut in 2011, Marina has offered hands-on cooking classes in the custom-designed “Bon Appétit Culinary Center.” Oceania Cruises now offers the opportunity to experience the culinary cultures ashore as well. On the new Culinary Discovery Tours, guests can explore local markets side-byside with an expert chef in more than 25 ports worldwide. They may also dine at a renowned local restaurant or visit a vineyard, chocolatier or artisanal cheese maker for a demonstration and tasting. “In Athens, guests will visit the Agora meat and fish market followed by lunch in the Plaka,” said Chef Kathryn Kelly, culinary enrichment director of Oceania Cruises. “When in Barcelona, we enjoy a Spanish olive oil tasting, shop at Santa Caterina Market and then finish the day with lunch at a top tapas restaurant.”
28-29 Bon Appétit Wine & Food Festival Stephen Lewandowski, Executive Chef for Myriad Restaurant Group and Executive Chef of Tribeca Grill in New York City will host the Bon Appétit Wine & Food Festival on the 14 October 2012 sailing of Riviera. Chef Ken Oringer, recipient of the James Beard Award for “Best Chef in the Northeast,” will host the Bon Appétit Wine & Food Festival on the 22 October 2012 sailing of Marina.
Chef Kelly has taught classes on everything from perfect paella to fresh pasta in the “Bon Appétit Culinary Center,” while also exploring local markets to develop the Culinary Discovery Tours programme. You can follow all of Chef Kelly’s adventures at OceaniaCruisesBlog.com. 1

IDEALLY MID-SIZE Mid-size ships catering to just 684 or 1,250 guests
n
Mid-size holds great benefits | Once you sail one of our mid-size ships, you will never settle for anything less. Nor will you ever again be satisfied with anything more in regard to size because larger ships simply cannot provide the pronounced intimacy and many advantages of Oceania Cruises. Our ships cater to just 684 pampered guests on Regatta and Nautica and 1,250 privileged guests on Marina and Riviera. Warmth and conviviality come naturally. Elegance and grace are givens. The ambiance is exceptionally relaxed and civil as we singularly focus on your individual desires. Consequently, service standards soar, guests easily develop a rapport with staff and fellow guests, and the friendships only deepen as the days pass effortlessly. All the elements for bliss | Being mid-size even facilitates going ashore, as our ships can slip into boutique ports off-limits to larger vessels. Of course, the fact that our ships are mid-size positively influences every aspect of the onboard experience. With no need to rush or worry about crowds, you can savour the defining elements that make our ships so special. Our cuisine, “the finest at sea,” is carefully prepared à la minute. Appointments for spa services are readily available in the relaxing Canyon Ranch SpaClub®. A comfortable chaise always awaits should you decide to lounge by the pool. Life just seems to proceed at a more courteous pace. The differences are sizeable, noticeable and so refreshing.

Oceania Cruises’ Free Air Programme* is available in Economy Class from London. Regional connecting flights are available from selected airports listed below at an additional cost. Clients choosing to take advantage of Oceania Cruises’ Free Air will receive flight details 75 days prior to sailing. If you wish to know your flight details at time of booking, or you wish to make customized changes you can do so via your travel agent as an ‘Air Deviation’ at additional cost. Guests not using the services of a Travel Agent may visit OceaniaCruises.com and click “Already Booked” then “Manage Your Trip” then “My Air” then “Air Deviation Form.” Business and First Class airfares are also available for purchase. While every effort is made to secure the most convenient routing, flight availability and seats are limited, and Business and First Class upgrades apply to international flights only. On bookings that include Free Air travel, the air arrangements, including routings and selection of air carrier, are at Oceania Cruises’ sole discretion and are based on flight availability and agreements among various airlines and Oceania Cruises.

F r ee a i r P r og r amme * Leave the flying to us | As the Destination Specialists, we make getting to your dream Oceania cruise, and back home again as easy as can be. With our Free air Programme*, we take the worry and hassle out of flying. With one call or a few clicks of your mouse, we will make all of your air arrangements. We provide Free air from London, working with the world’s most respected air carriers. Regional connecting flights are also available at a supplement from selected cities. Hassle-free travel | Not only is our Free air Programme* convenient, it is seamless and ensures a worry-free travel experience. Should you encounter a flight delay or travel interruption, we will make arrangements to assist you or rebook you on another flight at no additional cost to get you to your destination. Do you have a preferred air carrier, mileage programme or complicated schedule? For a small additional cost, our custom air department will arrange your specific flight requests, coordinate with your schedule and even provide Business and First Class travel. Book early as availability is limited. Due to airline schedules beyond the control of Oceania Cruises, flight times to and from certain destinations may require that guests purchase an overnight hotel stay, pre- or post-flight or en-route. Although this is not included within the listed price, Oceania Cruises can offer assistance with hotel reservations. All charges related to hotel stays, including hotel fares and taxes, meals, transfers, phone charges and incidentals will be at the guests’ own expense. ‘Air Deviation’ requests can only be processed once the cruise booking is under deposit. Air deviation requests will be subject to a non-refundable administrative fee plus any potential increase in airfare costs. Any pre-flight arrangements, such as seat assignments, frequent flyer programmes, wheelchair requests, oxygen or special meal requests must be made by the guest directly with the airlines based on their policies and procedures. Oceania Cruises cannot confirm any special airline requests unless otherwise specified. Due to the special nature of fares used, frequent flyer or past traveller discounts might not apply to air tickets issued by Oceania Cruises. These special requests and services should be arranged by you or your Travel Agent directly with the airlines.

Impeccable service | Our ships boast an impressive staff-to-guest ratio, but it’s more than sheer numbers that elevates our personalized service into the sublime. Our staff genuinely care about making you happy and content during your voyage. Being of service comes naturally, a trait as innate as their unbridled enthusiasm. You can see it in their warm smiles and hear it in the sincere tone of their voices, as our staff zealously devote their full attention to fulfilling your wishes. Their commitment runs deep and never diminishes, no matter what the task. Only the best of the best | Not everyone holds the impeccable credentials to join our international staff. Only those who have distinguished themselves in the world’s finest hotels and most exquisite restaurants will do. They are true professionals with the rare ability to fastidiously attend to every detail and magically anticipate your wishes. The ease with which they remember your name, preferences and wants borders on miraculous. Marina’s majestic Grand Dining Room
An Elegant Setting
The Grand Dining Room is a study in stateliness, a tribute to the spirit of Europe’s marquee 5-star hotel restaurants that inspired its dignified yet convivial ambiance. Remarkably, as sumptuous as the Grand Dining Room’s decor is, guests always feel completely at ease within its grandeur. Much of that is a direct reflection of the formally attired and classically trained wait staff, graciously serving course after course of continental cuisine or delectable alternatives such as healthy, savoury Canyon Ranch® selections or Jacques Pépin’s signature dishes.
10
A CLASSIC STEA K H OUSE IN EVER Y SENSE
Polo Grill embodies all the elements of a classic steakhouse, expressing them with timeless reverence. Each course stands as the very definition of a time-honoured favourite, most notably the beef dishes. From the filet mignon to the New York strip to the rib eye, all are USDA Prime and dry-aged for 28 days to enhance tenderness and flavour. Seafood lovers have equally appealing options, such as the whole Maine lobster steamed with drawn butter.
11
SO AUT H ENTIC Y OU COUL D B E IN ITAL Y
In Italian, Toscana means Tuscan, and just as Tuscan cuisine evolved from rich family traditions, many of our recipes originated with the mothers and grandmothers of our own Italian culinary staff. Presented on elegant, customdesigned Versace china, each dish is a masterpiece that exemplifies the essence of Tuscany and celebrates Italy’s culinary passion.
12
A P ASSION FOR FRENC H CUISINE
Comfortable and eclectic, the ambiance is pure French, as is the wonderfully embraceable cuisine. Luscious aromas waft from the gleaming show rotisserie, where chicken, duck, pork, rib and veal roasts slowly turn. Each dish is a classic, ingeniously interpreted by Master Chef Pépin. Available onboard Marina and Riviera
“ Food, for me, is inseparable from sharing. There is no great meal unless it is shared with family or friends.”
13
b o l d , c o n t e m p o r a r y a SIAN CUISINE
With a nod to feng shui, Red Ginger radiates harmony and tranquillity. The interior simply glows with ebony woods, a dramatic waterfall wall and striking, modern Asian artworks. To complement the stunning decor, Red Ginger’s chefs have created contemporary interpretations of Asian classics. In Red Ginger, the gustatory pleasures are as striking as the visual ones. Available onboard Marina and Riviera
14
T H E MENU AN D MOO D e v o l v e
Informal and carefree, Terrace CafĂŠ is wonderfully inviting whether you dine indoors or alfresco. In the morning, the entire space is infused with natural sunlight, stimulating the appetite for the sumptuous breakfast selections. Come lunch, the expansive menu of international dishes changes entirely. Evenings, the cuisine takes on a local flair such as a hearty paella in Spain, eggplant parmigiana in Italy or a rich beef bourguignon in France. Marina and Riviera feature full lobster tails, hand-cut steaks and chops, handtossed fresh pastas and a broad array of sushi.
COME AS Y OU ARE AN D D INE ALFRESCO
Sometimes the ultimate luxury is casual dining. Chefs grill gourmet burgers, tangy barbecue and succulent seafood to order, accompanying them with side dishes like gardenfresh salads and crispy, hand-cut truffle fries dusted with grated aged parmesan. Then top it off with a decadent dessert such as a creamy homemade gelato, a made-to-order hot fudge sundae or a thick hand-dipped milkshake.
TEA TA K ES CENTRE STAGE
With a classical string quartet softly playing, our staff glides through the room presenting four-tiered carts filled with finger sandwiches, colourful petits fours, scones with clotted cream, exquisite desserts and of course, a tempting selection of artisanal teas.

More than a spa | Healthy living and spiritual awareness are at the very heart of the Canyon Ranch philosophy. Pushing the boundaries of spa services well beyond the traditional, its award-winning health resorts have been transforming lives since 1979, when the first one was created in Arizona’s spectacular Sonoran Desert. Oceania Cruises and Canyon Ranch have recreated that unique, inspiring environment onboard our ships. Through fitness, exquisite Canyon Ranch cuisine and a multitude of healing therapies, you can discover ways to unleash your untapped potential and make positive changes in your life. Of course, the star element of any Canyon Ranch experience is a spa treatment that will leave you wondering how anything could be quite so perfect. Restore and revitalize | Lose yourself in deep relaxation with a signature Canyon Stone Massage or perhaps a Thai Massage, which originated in Buddhist monasteries. Ease into the soothing waters of the private, open-air whirlpool spa. All Concierge Level and Suite guests can enjoy FREE unlimited access to the beautifully appointed Canyon Ranch SpaClub private Spa Terrace. More opportunities await you in the state-of-the-art fitness centre, where you may exercise on the latest fitness equipment or join a class in indoor cycling, aerobics, Pilates or yoga. Time to explore | Days spent exploring these enticing locales are quite often enhanced by leisurely evenings ashore. Our itineraries feature many overnight stays as well as departures later in the evening to encourage unhurried, in-depth exploration. While in port, you may choose from a plethora of inspired shore excursions. Our exciting new excursion collections allow you to tailor experiences ashore to suit your personal preferences, ensuring you explore the most fascinating wonders of each destination.

Oceania Cruises is pleased to announce two new shore excursion collections that offer wonderful insight into the culture, history, art and cuisine of the fascinating ports of call you will visit, all at substantial savings from the customary à la carte list price. These collections must be reserved prior to sailing, so be sure to book your collection in advance in order to take advantage of these extraordinary savings.
Your World Collection provides the flexibility for you to custom design a personalized, value-packed collection of excursions by allowing you to select from our entire portfolio just the right number of tours you desire. Best of all, you’ll save 25% off regular à la carte prices, subject to a minimum number of excursions required to be reserved depending on voyage length.
Unlimited Passport Collection
Shop the Grand Bazaar in Istanbul
affords you the ultimate indulgence – the opportunity to fully experience all that a destination has to offer with UNLIMITED shore excursions throughout the voyage. You may choose from an array of excursions all for one low price at a savings of up to 40% off à la carte prices. As an added bonus, Unlimited Passport Collection guests will also receive significant discounts off Oceania Choice and Oceania Exclusive excursions.
10 reasons to book your excursions with oceania cruises
1. Climate-controlled late-model transportation 2. Knowledgeable Englishspeaking guides 3. Local, licensed and insured destination experts 4. Excursions monitored by ship’s staff at all times 5. Peace of mind knowing on-time return to ship is never in question 6. Excursions start pierside for convenience and security 7. Price guarantee from the moment excursion is booked 8. No penalty assessed on excursion cancellation up to embarkation day 9. Personalized Your World Collection
10. Value-packed Unlimited Passport Collection
Oceania Choice and Oceania Exclusive Excursions | While all of our shore excursions offer extraordinary experiences, some are so outstanding and so aweinspiring that they merit special recognition. These tours are designated as Oceania Choice excursions and offer unique, one-of-a-kind experiences to the passionate explorer wishing to delve even deeper into a region’s culture and history. For those travellers who prefer an added measure of privacy, intimacy and flexibility, we also offer our Oceania Exclusive excursions. With a minimum participation of 10 guests, and never more than 16, these excursions benefit from a higher level of personal attention and detail only possible in small groups.
Priority Booking Guests in Concierge Level Staterooms and Suites may book up to 180 days prior to their sail date. Guests in all stateroom categories who reserve either the Your World Collection or the Unlimited Passport Collection can book 180 days in advance and receive priority confirmation of their participation and selections. You can reserve shore excursions online at OceaniaCruises.com, all from the comfort of your home. An in-depth and personalized brochure highlighting your voyage’s shore excursion programmes will be mailed to you along with your guest vacation documents approximately 75 days prior to your sail date. For more details on the Your World or Unlimited Passport Collections, or to customize one of these collections, visit OceaniaCruises.com, call Oceania Cruises or contact your Travel Agent.
Maximum savings In order to receive maximum pre-cruise savings, you may purchase shore excursions as early as 180 days and up until 72 hours prior to your sail date. Our website safely and securely accepts credit card payments; you will automatically receive confirmation of your online purchase by email. Oceania Cruises strongly recommends that your shore excursions be purchased prior to boarding the ship to take advantage of presailing discounts and ensure availability.
