Set in 25 acres of idyllic countryside and only a short distance from the coast, Homestead Lake Park is the perfect choice for quiet touring and camping in Essex.
Located in the small village of Weeley, our Essex touring park has 50 fully-serviced hard standing pitches for touring caravans, folding caravans, trailer tents, motorhomes, campers and RVs as well as a small number of pitches for tents. We are pet friendly too!
At the heart of our park is a well established large coarse fishing lake stocked with carp, perch, tench and roach, making us a popular choice for fishing holidays and breaks in the Essex area.
Child and pet-friendly, Homestead boasts a range of facilities all designed to make your stay as enjoyable as possible.
Pitch types
Hardstanding
50 hard-standing pitches suitable for touring caravans, folding caravans, trailer tents and motorhomes. (including America RVs)
Fully Serviced
All Pitches have access to electric hook-up, mains water supply and sewage disposal.
Lakeside Pitches
At the heart of our Essex touring park is a large and picturesque fishing lake. Take advantage of this idyllic setting and reserve one of our lakeside pitches.
Camping Pitches
Although we predominantly cater for touring guests we have a small number of pitches suitable for tents, large and small.
Rally Field
Looking for a rally venue in Essex? With a dedicated rally field, our park is a popular venue for rallies in the region.

Our touring and camping guests are free to make use of our well-maintained toilet and shower block, with baby changing facilities.
Disabled facilities / Family room
A dedicated room with shower, toilet, hand basin and baby changing table. The room has been designed for guests with restricted mobility, with level flooring and easy-access shower and toilet.
Washing-up area
Our washing facilities mean you can keep on top of the dishes if you plan to do a lot of cooking.
Chemical toilet & sewage disposal points
We have a dedicated area on park where you can dispose of your chemical waste and sewage.
Calor Gas and Camping Gaz
These can be purchased in our shop, subject to availability.
Fishing lake
Homestead Lake is a popular choice for fishing holidays in Essex and boasts a large, wellestablished coarse fishing lake at the centre of our park.
There’s plenty of fishing to keep you hooked! Try and hook a monster carp, perch, tench or roach at one of the main pegs located around our mature lake. You must have a valid rod licence and fishing day ticket, which can be purchased from reception.
Bring your touring caravan and enjoy a quiet break, spending a few days trying your luck on our lake!
Our lake has plenty of carp, perch, tench, bream, rudd & roach with sizes up to 20lb.
Fishing rules
• All anglers must have a valid Rod License and fishing day ticket.
• Anyone caught without a Day Ticket will be charged DOUBLE.
• Barbless hooks only. Barbed hooks including micro barbs are strictly banned.
• No Ground Bait
• No Bait Boats.
• No blood worms.
• No night fishing.
• No keep nets except for matches.
• Unhooking mats obligatory for carp.
• Any children under 16 years must be under adult supervision
• No beach casting.
• No loud music.
• Tackle must not be left unattended.
• Please respect our Flora and Fauna.
• No camping by the lake.
